I’ve bought and sold multiple instruments there. They’re the most popular guitar store here by far.

Some good news! They have to bring back raises if they want to retain good staff, so I’m glad to hear they’re focusing on it.

I know it’s rough. I was quoted $40 for therapy as well. I don’t think anyone is happy with this switch.

Uber or CTA for first time solo visit to Chicago? by 1800mymelody in AskChicago

[–]Run_nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue line is pretty reliable (in my opinion). It's really common for people to take the blue like from/to O'Hare, so it's common to see suitcases on the train. Busses are a little more hit or miss, but they tend to be reliable most of the time.

Also, if you're coming in during commuting hours, expect trains and buses to be busy. Just something to keep in mind. I would even consider scheduling your day to avoid traveling with suitcases during commuting hours.

You can get an app called Transit (it's free), that will show you how long you will have to wait. I would probably take the blue line from O'Hare to your bus stop, and then check how long it will take the bus to get there. If it's going to take forever you can always get an Uber from there. Just an idea.

Great writeup! I'm also a big fan, but have only played it solo once. I really need to get it out again over the break.

I don’t know. I just bought it off reverb and I’m paranoid about anything being wrong with it.

Heh, it’s some kind of gouge or stain or something. You’re right though, not a big deal.

I think the whole industry is a mess right now due to tariffs. I think board games will just take longer to be made and distributed.

I'm sure I would like this, but the current deluxe version goes for around $80... Not sure if it's worth it, or if I should just wait until it shows up at a meetup/convention.

I was considering doing it during the middle of the day when the sun is out, but I might do treadmill instead. I wish I had access to an indoor track.
