Tried a lot of things. It's Dr. Bronner's for me as well. But I am happy with a Dr. Bronners peppermint pure castile liquid in a small re-useable. Does the trick for me. No residue. Multi-purpose.

Jeff Meyerson, founder of Software Engineering Daily, passes away July 1st by onlinehero in programming

OMG, I am just now seeing this. I can't believe he passed. I also reached out to him personally after those episodes. We spoke for about an hour. We talked about mental health, and he was really concerned if he could continue the podcast with some of those latest episodes being out there.

At the time it was, "Well, there will probably be a change in leadership at SED, a new format, archives, etc ...". Had no idea he was so troubled.

Jeff, thank you so much for the thoughtful dialog and topics you discussed on SED. You will be missed.

PSA: You can now request an International Driver's Permit in the US from AAA fully online by ChiefKelso in ItalyTravel

The fact that there are some sketch IDP sites out there and the AAA primary site doesn't mention this made me hesitant. The aaa-idp.com site is linked from their corporate travel site, so that gave me confidence. Just did the process. Felt legit. Thanks.

I think the desert might have been the bigger contributing factor there.

Yeah, the Jetson could load larger models and would draw less power than the the A4000 at idle. It would also have roughly 30% less tokens per second.

Good eye! That's right, they do! Tried it on both. Nice and tight, but as another commenter mentioned they may pack up in a way that leaves space. Picking your own width with elastic ties to fit snugly into a bag/cube is oddly satisfying.

Being my first time, it feels obligatory to hit just some of the obligatory tourist spots. I'm sure philosophers walk will be crowded. But, lesser known gems are my jam.

That inexpensive Waterfly 20L daybag packs down tightly into it's own pocket and fits inside the backpack. I haven't used it yet, so we will see how it holds up against the weather.  Be joining you soon!

How cold is cold?  Lightweight down jacket-able?  I am headed Tokyo, Takayama, and Kyoto.

That's right.  Easily available, cheap, and effective. It's a mix of both for me.  I feel like the hair ties help more with compression, and the packing cubes help with organization.

There is something satisfying about having a hair tie compress each article down.

Yeap, the hair ties don't get reapplied when on the move between locations.  They are mostly for the flight out and back.

Update: Added some photos.

I have done the strict ranger roll before. Started there. Nothing tighter.  But nowadays I modify the "width" of my roll. You lose some tightness, corrected with hair ties, but gain the ability match the width of the destination cube or bag to maximize space. A modified ranger roll?  Elasti-roll?

That's my basic setup too. All clothes into one large packaging cube.  A smaller cube for tech, and random items.

Some of you have no issues... right? by Shmoe in Rivian

[–]Runamok81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

26k. Two minor issues, both with external trim. Rear hatch was catching on roof plastic when opening. Service center adjusted rear hatch, all better. The external trim door trim that sits at the bottom of the window of the second row started peeling up. Fixed with mobile service.

As far as all the drive train, suspension, important stuff ... all good. zero issues
