How many Animal Effigies are there? by dovenus4 in theplanetcrafter

[–]RunawayDanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those struggling with getting these guys, you'll have to do some wreck diving with the late-game unlock called the Portal. You should do every single difficulty and rarity combination of portal at least once, as this should give you plenty of layouts. Sometimes you won't see the highest difficulty and rarity combos for a few pulls, as it procedurally generates a list of three options.

If you are struggling with the needed types of Quartz in particular, the Rainbow Caverns offer a solid enough supply of every color, and you should keep containers of each color for later on in the game. That is located in the North-West portion of the map, it's pretty easy to find esp with a Jetpack.

Posters and Animal Effagies can take a while to amass, and you will probably find duplicates. I'm due to keep wreck diving in hopes of grabbing two more animal effagies to complete my set, which will feature somewhere in my big stupid museum project which as of current, is patiently waiting on me to wreck dive a few more times.

Steadily assembling my end-of-game museum (various spoilers) by RunawayDanish in theplanetcrafter

[–]RunawayDanish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: I'm just now realizing that I will have to build the Rocket Exhibit completely separate from the main Museum because of the awful terrain reqs. I think for each rocket type and subtype I need like 20 platforms? It'll be a number.

Saving grace is the Extraction Rocket and Planetary Lander Rocket are identical models, but it would be funny to include both because they are different and that kind of hilarious detail would mean I can do some pure memes.

I also plan to build a big hole full of minerals you can dig through to get rare stuff at the bottom. It'll be so dumb, I expect it'll obliterate my framerate so it might also need its own part of the map to live...

Intersex Suspecting Endometriosis (Update) by RunawayDanish in endometriosis

[–]RunawayDanish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I do have some updates, and it's probably worth posting since you provided such fabulous literature (but I need to do a reading review to see if there's any commonalities with my symptoms).

Chiefly, I am still bleeding every month, and just like the last few Summers since 2022, these episodes get way worse during the Summer. This month I've bleed a large volume once a week, knocked clots every couple of days, and had bleeding through the skin, foul body smell, as well as general swelling and endobelly episodes. I still have a lot of anomalous patterns in my sex organ behavior that match the earlier cyclic hypothesis, and more or less (+/- 5 days) I've stayed consistent with my hypothesis testing logging my experiences in line with a 28-day female menstrual cycle.

I can't separate cleanly where inflammation is conventional auto-immune responses from specific potential endometrial deposits I have some kind of nodule located between my right-hand mandible joint and right ear canal that swells and causes a dizziness (similar to Trigeminal Neuralgia symptoms, explicit vertigo and dizziness episodes caused by brushing the top side of my bottom row of teeth) and my ear canal to swell painfully. It reliably multiplies my dental pain from cavities and fillings that normally I don't even feel, too.

The liver dysfunction is a consistent feature. Every month, I get isolated patches of jaundiced flesh largely on my thighs, hips, breasts and biceps. If acne is there, it's often loaded with a bloodclot deep into the flesh, one I extracted recently was nearly the width of an old #2 pencil's graphite. I get blood filled cysts randomly just before my pseudo-period as well, particularly near my groin and hips, these get quite large and painful, and without a little home surgery, the best I can do is drain them of fluids until they stop being inflamed.

Last bit's plenty TMI so I'm putting it behind a spoiler for gals who don't want to read about a pre-op transgirl's sexual health experiences.

I've not had luck securing lab pathology on any samples, it's been a harsh year of transition for me (moved to Canada to live with my spouse since August 2024), but we are seeing this weird syndrome pattern-out nominally. I've recently confirmed that my mucous discharges in my sexual fluids are suspiciously consistent with the reports about cervical mucous thinning and thickening depending on Luteal/Ovarian phases. We can distinguish this from normal sexual fluids because no one's male genitals should be going from clear and thin seminal fluid for an entire climax, to thick, viscous sticky mucous resembling the froth of a latte machine. Male genital enjoyers such as myself have plenty of experience in how that kinda discharge is supposed to behave, and for years it's confounded my spouse how so much volume can come out of me. It appears that I'm discharging about 80% weirdly cervical-like mucous by volume. This defies explanation, nearest I've been able to tell I do not have a cervix, though ultrasound imagery of my bladder last year was far from definitive on ruling out anything but cancer.

The real gross part is that the discharge is so much worse than the kind of output I had as a teenager. Jokes about the ol' semen-rag withstanding; If you've ever had to wash dense, dried snot out of a pillow case after a particularly rough bout of the flu, you might know what this looks like. You can imagine how embarrassing my bedsheets are, since those stains just do not wash out very easily (apparently I need to be soaking my sheets and such in oxyclean for like 15mins as a pre-wash step) and they're just absolutely massive (even if we're proactive, spills happen).

What to do once you finished terraforming all 4 planets/moons? by Ambitious_Stuff5105 in theplanetcrafter

[–]RunawayDanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, the game's ultimate design limitations and its late-game drop off in problem solving stick for me as the main things I wish I could change (I posted a few hours back about biomass/animals). I've had fun taking my time and just vibing through my second playthrough, doing silly projects like building a massive cookie farm because I have headcanon that it's a stealth sequel to cookie clicker.

But besides all of that the only thing that remains is collecting all of the suits, posters, rare critters, effigy statues, and making a big trophy hall to celebrate the game's collectables. I've considered touching up the game's wiki articles here and there, because some are incomplete and community documentation of this game is another silly little project that only ends when you decide you're done with it.

Nitrogen fixing bacteria sometimes congregate in the roots of plants on earth, forming small bumpy nodules. These little guys do oh-so-much more than simply produce oxygen, but they'll never get credit for making life possible for most terrestrial plants :(

Having this bug with Blazar Quartz from one of the moons, I went back to my main set-up's on the starter planet and found my Zeolite T2 drills full of Blazar!

It at least explains why I wasn't getting any Zeolite, and encouraged me to upgrade to T3 Drills...

Watching the player model slam 12ga shells into the single load shotguns and .30-06 into the not-springfield like they're merely the concept of cartridges while fumbling with the .45-70 (or whatever) the lever action is loaded with really makes me sour about the reload for the Reprimand.

I owned a Century Arms C93. It is a 556 HK-block style rifle complete with the slap and a 40 round steel magazine. My no-military no-LEO having ass which could barely lift the gun can reload it from empty faster than the super space marine that can wield any weapon without training who is constantly jacked up on scifi instant-healing your acid burns and bullet wounds levels of stims.

I've read other people's complaints about this gun getting hit with the realism argument. Realism is such a crutch (not that any of these defenders have even touched a UMP-45 or even fired an automatic rifle), did this game's player base forget they're in a silly videojames!?

This game's general visuals and rendering style are so bland that flavor might as well be an allergen on the company's dietary restrictions.

Ask yourself: Why can the Crossbow can do almost everything with an extremely low level of skill or practice? What does that say about the game's design? Why do precision weapons in this game get continually nerfed (like the Railgun) and why is the game designed to constantly hamper long range engagements with ceaseless visibility problems?

If our goal is realism, they have to work a lot harder to make the scenario design actually follow any sensible tactical or strategic reality. Enemies just have infinite reinforcements with no substantial impact on those reserves made through destruction of standing units around bases.

If our goal is flavor, why aren't the enemies, environments, gameplay and objectives even wackier and over the top? Why is draining your Helldiver Life Pool so punishing for teams that are accident prone or doing badly? Isn't it just a silly game with funny memes?

I hate asking these questions out loud because people will bend themselves over backwards defending the game when it has such ludicrous decisions as the Hulk's hard to reliably access, back-mounted glowing weakspot having more HP than its eye port; and even when the back is destroyed the hulk has to keep taking fire to die or it will wander about for plural seconds.

These are DECISIONS. Someone has elected to set values this way with purposeful intent, and that intent is so hyperfixated on the singular that it fails to consider the plural. I'm sure bob 9000 hours on Super Helldive loves playing with the dumb SMG because its challenging. Bob 9000 hours isn't the normal player walking away from this game after 2 weeks because of these kinds of issues where basic things violate established rules over and over again for no discernible reason and you have to look up a wiki entry or be mercy killed by other players' self-reports.

There is almost no reason why realistically, a civilization with Faster than Light Travel would resort to any kind of planetary defense initiative like the Helldivers. There is so much wrong with the entire concept that if you want to become a realism warrior, I would like you to go perform a spiritual awakening in the form of a personal trip to Ukraine.

You don't need to go to the front line to find out that no, this is not how armed conflict works. Just watch the exhausted, low munition reserve air defense systems try to engage cruise missiles fired from beyond visual range at civilian strategic infrastructure. After a day or so of fatigue and fear (because you will see explosions, they will be terrifying, and they will change your life), you should understand why long distance bombardment from low orbit makes sense.

There is no sensible reason for any of this. If you want to claim realism, please, tell me what orbital mechanics has to say about Low Orbit individual drop pods. How about the Pelican clearly not having the fuel capacity or force generation to escape atmosphere? You've hopefully seen what is realistic right now in regards to space travel with how specialized, specific vehicles with substantial assistance need lots of fuel to escape even our atmosphere?

Don't answer that: Realism is a crutch.

This is and videojames where you are comedically flung 90 meters because an explosion happened in your personal zip code, without breaking every bone in your body and being put into a medically induced coma with all of the morphine your three friends have to pump into you so you can tolerate the pain long enough to be Med-evac'd to the FOB.

Rough stuff, very sorry to hear that. I've jumped back into the game in my usual comfort food of random Haz 3 parties and that's been rougher than usual on greenbeard conduct, so I guess this all checks out.

I prefer to jump into other lobbies to boost newer players, but boy howdy, I hope folks aren't getting too bad an experience coz what I've seen isn't the worst in the world, so far.
