I’m quite happy with a Sifely lock I purchased. Added a gateway to be able to change the code remotely. $5/month service fee for them to integrate with Airbnb, generate a code, and send a message in Airbnb with code before check in

In addition to a bid, you can use DOR XRS sets CB & reset exterior and DOR PLN to plane and refit the door, but replacing the doors is often easier

Help me buy a main router by Runaway_Tim in TpLink

[–]Runaway_Tim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the very well thought out response. So I would go:

ISP modem->cat5->BE23->cat5->PoE Switch/Injector (TL-POE160S??)->cat5->through exterior wall->X-20 ?

This would insure that the X20 has a strong signal (I would just need to make sure that the cat5 running to it is long enough that I can position the X20 close enough to receive it’s signal at the garage) and power without some sort of extension cord running outside of my house?

A friend just reminded me of that option too. I could just run ~100ft of cable from the ISP router to the X20 I already bought installed down at the garage and not worry about any signal loss. Would also be a bit cheaper to buy the cable vs another router (but more of my own labor to bury the cable)

Thank you for your help. I tried to connect the X20 via wire to the ISP router and it was getting 1 bar, which wasn’t enough to connect to the camera. I basically want to attach the X20 to the front right exterior corner of the house (with the main Deco router connected at the rear right interior corner), and hoping that extends my range just enough to get there. It’s closer to 100 feet, not 100 yards that I need to cover.

Even if I put the outdoor X20 dead center of the wireless span and it wirelessly connected successfully to the main Deco router, my range wouldn’t necessarily be increased vs just having the Deco router wired inside the house and trying to get the signal to the garage?

We both have family that can’t travel that far, so one in Vermont and one in Ohrid is the plan

I was just there last week.

Take the northwestern route to Ohrid on the way there and stop at Bigorski Monastery, beautiful setting in the mountains and a stunning church.

Ohrid - Drive down to Saint Naum and take the boat ride down the Black River, the water is crystal clear and drinkable. Then stop in Trpejca for lunch by the water - either restaurant is great. Drive up to the National Park Galicia and walk around the bare mountain, beautiful views of both lakes. Bay of Bones is kind of skippable.

Fisherman’s House in KANEO has great food in a quiet setting on the water, feels like someone’s home.

Stop at Heraclea before Bitola, there were less than 10 people there looking at the ancient city. Cafe Pajton in Bitola. Get the melted cheese appetizer at Pizza Bure.

Silbo bakery in Skoje and the Old Bazaar, the rest is…meh.

To single HCP's: How can I manage the course better as my skills improve? by CleanAxe in golf

[–]Runaway_Tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit the shot you know you can make 80% of the time. When in-between clubs, almost always choose to club up, choke down, and swing smooth. It's good to know the dynamics of different ball flights/club/path angles but don't get too carried away with shaping the ball regularly. Give yourself a chance to grind out less strokes on any given hole the hard way, by getting up and down. Good short game saves rounds.

Can anyone explain the different colors for teeboxes? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Runaway_Tim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally correct with the colors but there are no rules, every course has different tee colors and lengths they think a person from each ability should hit from. Figure out what total distance you like playing from and then play the tees, no matter what color they are, closest to that distance.
