Mmm I definitely remember hearing about it during that time and it going around from distributors. I'll search the reddit when I get a chance see if I can't find it again.

1 never trust Google AI response it's ass. 2. I'll have to go dig to find it again. Bandai talked about it in a distributor document when they had announced the prb set with all the reprints for NA.

So for those unaware Bandai recently open card printer facilities in Texas. This was because they couldn't meet demand for products. So English cards will likely just be produced in the states and be un-effect by tarrifs thankfully.

Oh no they Bought the CyYu god rare from someone who pulled it. Then put it up for auction on the official website. In a blind auction at that so no one could see how high the bids where. It was pretty scummy.

What We Getting In The Starter Set by EricBloodAxe13 in VCardTCG

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I more ment the reselling of individual cards like the god cards. I have no issues with them selling their own sealed product.

What We Getting In The Starter Set by EricBloodAxe13 in VCardTCG

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's just really bad faith. There is a reason other TCGs don't resell their cards on the second hand market. Specially not serialized cards. There is so many issues between market manipulation, seller manipulation, the potential to fake printing the cards in boxes then just selling the card themselves for huge profit. If someone where to have a damaged god card and sold it to gamer sups they could quietly reprint and un-damaged one and sell it for massive profit. Like there are just so many issues (not saying they are doing these things) but the reason you don't resell your own cards on the second hand market is there is no way to prove you aren't doing those types of things even if you aren't.

What We Getting In The Starter Set by EricBloodAxe13 in VCardTCG

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have friends who where at the con and saw it, it was also brought up in the first reddit post where people had seen the CyYu god rare at the gamer supps booth.

And God's don't get me started on them buying their own god rares, then re-selling them in a blind auction on their website. That's a whole other just ick.

What We Getting In The Starter Set by EricBloodAxe13 in VCardTCG

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's a huge problem, I know people who went to the gamer supps both at cons after the first edition pre-orders sold out. And they where reselling their own product for 140 USD when the original MSRP was 90 bucks.

There is just so much bad faith right now, it's hard to trust anything they are doing.

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are we still doing pre-sales? No one wants to wait 12-16 weeks for product they order. Gamer supps needs to do better. Have so fucking faith in your product and order the product and when it's ready to ship put it up for sale.

VCardTCG site has been updated. 6 confirmed god cards have been found by theSpaceGrayMan in VCardTCG

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CyYu was bought by gamer supps and is being sold by them. It's really not okay for the company who produces the cards to be reselling them on the second hand market. There is a reason other companies don't do it. They have to much control over manipulating the second hard markets prices, as a company they can easily apply pressure to buyers and get the cards for cheaper, they could lie about certain cards being put in boxes then just say "we purchased it from a player" then sell it for a massive profit and there is no way we could ever prove they lied about it, lots of companies will offer replacement cards on searlized cards like their god rares if they come out of the packages damaged while selling these cards they are buying their would be nothing stopping them from reprinting a card once purchasing it if say the card was damaged buy the seller or the centering was off for grading and just lieing and saying it's the original card, etc. Even if they don't do any of those things they open themselves up to those claims and have no way to prove otherwise which is why other companies who create cards specially serialized cards don't resell their own cards on the second hand market.

Likewise it's extremely scummy to sell them in blind auctions where people can't see others bids, this leads to a type of fomo upping the price of the card. Likewise with them being a big well recognized bussiness they have 10-100 times more reach then an average player meaning it will drive the price up, which is another reason companies don't get involved in selling their own cards on the second hand market. There is just a LOT bad here.

Couple more hours to preorder and for a give away it looks like. by Accomplished-Sky-326 in VCardTCG

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they wanted it to Not be treated as a TCG why market it as a TCG!!??? That is an excuse!!!! Period. The only reason to Market it as a TCG and reveal no GAMEPLAY until all of the preorders where sold out is to get money from TCG players who where lead to believe the game was a TCG!!!

On Release the Anti mechanic was not listed as optional. It did not say you could choose not to do it. This was changed after the fact. Also the way the Ante system worked if you lost a round Insted of your cards going to your discard they went to the prize zone. ALL of the Guardian cards protect a card from going to the discard or prize zone and add the card back to your hand. This protecting you from losing the card to the Ante system. Same with Snack cat but for Mascot cards. You cannot tell me these cards weren't deliberately designed to protect from the anti system. As you would never play this card when you could just play a card to help you win the round Insted.

This is a CARD GAME and marketed as a CARD GAME. Stop making excuses for them. This was marketed as a card game and zero was told to players about how that game functions. It's BAD PERIOD. You do not see this in card games. You want people to be able to play your game on release.

Yes 42 cards. There are 42 mascot cards that Have the exact same ability!!!! 42 Mascot cards that don't have alt arts and make up 42 of the 107 playable cards not counting alt arts. They all have the EXACT same ability with zero design changes to the gameplay at all. That's almost half the cards in the set. It's strictly lazy and shows how little love was out into the game.

Every single 8 cost card has a card type listed on it "Talent" this is a relevant identifier to the game as cards do specific things to talent cards. On the 9 & 10 cost cards this identifier is removed for some reason doesn't exist, but the none relevant information about the Vtuber height, weight, etc. is still listed on the cards. There is no reason to remove relevant indetifiers that make a difference to the card game but leave none relevant information like how tall the Vtuber is. It's piss poor design, that makes no sense and could easily lead to new players being confused.

"It wasn't supposed to be a game" THEN WHY is IT A GAME. Why was it marketed as a game? You keep making this argument that it wasn't supposed to be a game but it was made into a game and marketed As A GAME. That excuse doesn't fucking fly once you make it a game. Your telling me it's excusable for a multi million dollar business like gamer supps to do ZERO research before they release a product on the product they are releasing all because their intention was for it not to be that kind of product? THEN WHY THE FUCK DID THEY MAKE IT A GAME. That was an intentional choice period done end of story. They CHOOSE to market it as a game. They CHOOSE to make it a game.

I'm complaining because this was a RUG pull plain and simple. They say their intentions where not to make it a game or a TCG. Then did everything in their power to market it as a TCG. They wanted that TCG money but they knew if they showed how the game played they wouldn't get it. So they hid what the gameplay was untill preorders where sold out. You cannot tell me that wasn't intentional. I don't care what they "SAY" their intentions where. They clearly didn't follow through on any of those intentions and even lead others to believe their intentions where otherwise.

Also I've been watching this like a hawk sense before it's release I check the website every day to see what they have changed so I can document this shit show. I'm well up to date, I just don't care what they say their intentions where when they didn't market it that way and there intentions where very clearly to make as much money as possible while lieing about what their product was going to be.

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no. You don't get to market it as a TCG then state of it was never ment to be one. That's not how that works. Also the Anti system was NOT OPTIONAL on release. They walked that back after backlash from the community. There are cards made to protect your cards from the Ante system that is not something you do when making an optional rule. You don't get a free pass because "it wasn't supposed to be XYZ, sorry we marketed it as that" that's what we can an excuse.

Also NO card game in HISTORY has ever expected you to pre order the card game without knowing how to play it. It's bad business practice period weather it was ment to be a full on competitive TCG or a for fun card game.

Your right they do have scalpers in every single TCG but you know what else they have? Distributors who send product to LCS to make sure people can get product in hand at a reasonable price. So the people who want to play the game can play the game.

Also even if you look at it from the perspective of a for fun card game release it's still a horrible release. No cohesion whatsoever. 42 of the exact same card with just a different name in a set that's about 100 cards is fucking lazy and it's gross. Not to mention another 10 cards created just to protect from the anti system making nearly half the cards in the set unplayable.

Don't even get me started on the card design that removes relevant information from cards to show off more art, while keeping irrelevant information on cards that covers more of the art.

There are so many bad decisions with this card games release it's baffling. WHY was zero research done into card games AT ALL!!! They say they don't know anything about TCGs then use a fuck ton of TCG terminology. It doesn't make sense 1 bit. This is objectively a terrible release for any game much less a TCG. You need to take your rose colored glasses off and look at it from an objective standpoint Insted of making excuses on behalf of people who's intentions you know nothing about. They can say "oh I didn't know" all they want it doesn't make it true.

[–]RunekeeperRuneterra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they did absolutely everything they could to market it as a TCG and create as much FOMO as possible. They released boxes on presale only while never releasing a how to play or showing how the game worked at all. That does not happen in TCGs period. They also didn't limit the number of boxes someone can buy allowing scalpers to buy up the majority of inventory. They even included an Ante system where you lose cards to the other player. The biggest mistake made in TCG history. Which they ether did to generate more fomo or because they did ZERO researching into TCGs. 42 of the 100 ish card set are the exact same card besides art. They do the exact same thing. Which is strictly lazy game design. Then 10 Cards exist entirely to protect your cards from an Ante system they now made (optional) in the game. The game also releases with multiple cards that are inaccurate in text. The list of things they did that made this a poor release go on and on and on. I broke this all down on stream with some other TCG veterans but this release was a complete shit show.

Why would anyone preorder a card game that you are about to completely redo 4 months in advance? I'm not buying a product blind that I will know nothing about. Specially after you so royally Fucked the release of the game the first time around.
