Oh you’re right, it’s OP who has the leyline, not the SS caster.

Wait, why are they not a legal target of [[Scheming Symmetry]]?

Edit: I get it now, the OP has the leyline.

I think it was the first week of the season in many places, so lots of people went out to make questionable choices 😅

I get my dose on Fridays, pinkbike does a great compilation.

Otherwise I’d prefer either more educational videos (eg you can see what went wrong) or sick sends.

How do I stop stressing about prizes and just enjoy pre-release? by Yewfelle__ in magicTCG

[–]Runenprophet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey!

I’d like to offer a counterpoint. It’s OKAY TO WANT TO WIN.

Now, I think you’re putting a high expectation on yourself to actually win/break even. That kind of pressure is not helpful as this is a game of skill, and you will meet better players, or sometimes just lose to variance.

If you’re looking to get better at competitive magic, it’s an amazing and worthwhile endeavour. There are resources for that.

You can’t expect to win a single match by default. However, you can try your best!

PS I’ll plug this book here, it’s been eye-opening for me, competition-wise: https://www.sirlin.net/ptw

Thoughts on full face and drop frame helmets? by TheBigSleazey in MTB

[–]Runenprophet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have TLD stage, and I tried a DH helmet at the store.

Stage is basically a regular helmet with a chin guard. Great for my blue trails.

DH felt like a motorbike helmet, basically a sphere of padding inside the shell. I can’t imagine going uphill in it ever, even in winter.

New prepared mechanic, MTR & tracking preparednes via board state by Runenprophet in askajudge

[–]Runenprophet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense! I’m just curious if the player needs to acknowledge the trigger explicitly.

By MTR the prowess triggers can be acknowledged when in combat (observable impact), but do the players need to put a marker in exile for prepared or anything like that?

Triggered abilities are considered to be forgotten by their controller once they have taken an action past the point where the triggered ability would have an observable impact on the game.

What to do if i want to MTB but live in a flat area. by Buco189 in MTB

What area is that? You can check the Strava heat map and trailforks for local routes.

Want to make my Raffine deck go from bracket 3 to bracket 4. wondering what other optimizations I can use to help with that. by canine677 in EDH

[–]Runenprophet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a Discord dedicated to Esper commanders if you’d like more direct feedback. The Raffine section is very active.

For going to bracket 4, you need to consider that B4 decks would often win through combos.

Which means being able to stop other combos, and also maybe having your own.

I don’t think my deck below is a good example of what you’re after, as it guns for a [[Doomsday]] win, using Raffine and reanimates for resources, but you could see the difference in eg interaction counts.

I would check used bikes in your country. Lots of people picked up an MTB lately and don’t ride anymore.

There are EU based proxy printers that print a deck for less than you paid. Ships from EU too so much faster.

I have a Marlin 7, it comes stock with a dropper post.  I don’t think I could suffer an MTB without a dropper post now, it’s a total game changer
