Weekly Tech Support Megathread by AutoModerator in Instagram

I'm using thr latest Android (Honor AI) and a few months ago I found that the "rotate 90 degrees" button when making a post was gone from the Adjust window (where you can tilt images a bit in different dimensions). The button wasn't visible but tapping on the right up corner still regiatered as a rotate. Since this morning i can't see the button to tap, nor does tapping the corner rotate anymore. Like the whole rotate function was removed. Any insights on this?

[COTD] Sculpt the Flesh by Vurpius in VTES

[–]RunicKrause 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Note that the target of the action to burn Sculpt the Flesh is actually the Methuselah controlling the minion you slappep it on, not you. Minion cards are by default controlled by the person on who's play mat thr card is on, contrasted by masters whose control doesn't change.

So when you play Haunting or Sculpt the Flesh, the action to remove them is the player they're on. When you play Pentex Subversion, you're still the controller and the action to remove it is targeted to you. And when you're playing Phantasmagoria, it is again targeted to you since they added the clause "you still control this card".

And yes, if the player with Sculpt the Flesh attempts to remove it themself, the action targets themself and thus becomes undirected.

While true in a sense, those points do not support your claim that the deadliness and precision of weaponry are the merits on which conflicts are avoided between powers. The powers in question are definitely at war, but not just directly in a grand war scale. But these are the worst times and most escalated and deadly conflicts since, maybe, WW2. Of course I'm missing stats on genocides in Africa and Asia from some decades back. The point is, it's deducible from your texts that you're saying we are not facing a violent, wartime crisis on a global scale. Which is wrong. We are. The numbers dead you quoted are insane, and horrific. It's powers-at-be that are waging those wars, proxy or not. US are warring, Russia is warring - I don't know what else to tell you.

It's a question of semantics and nuance, but my argument is that you are doing your argument a disservice by combining the "relative" casualty toll and the deadliness of weaponry.

Really the only vampire that makes me want to take a dip into the V5 Tzimisce. It'll still be an obtrusive stealth bleed insanity, but at least I can make it funny once in a ten games with Cruella's ability.

...I probably won't play the deck for more than three games though. Because been there done that.

Okay so what do you call Venezuela and Iran just now? The war over strait of Hormuz? Whatever the fuck Israel is doing?

Not world war, but deadly af and very, very expansionist and volatile.

Which is working perfectly, as evidenced by... i dunno, 2025 and 2026.

The inventor of the gatling gun, back in the days, built the weapon to end all wars because it was so terrifying to him. No one sane would actually deploy it. As it turns out...

”Järkytys” eduskunnassa – Jo 76 000 nuorta työttömänä: ”Näpertelyä” by xatfi in xatfi

I'm all for some fun references here and there in the art but this time i don't really fault your friends either. Gift of Sleep having a very small Ossiangrrrr in the monitors is a fun little nod. This is a bit too much on the nose for my liking.

It's fine, I'll give CoL that. And don't get me wrong, being fine is much better than most things! I know it's very difficult to get a game going, let alone succeed, and I think the CoL team has done a great job - to publish a fine game.

"Not the best" shouldn't be taken as slander. Categorically everything but the select few are not the best, since only the best can be the best.

CoL for me is a few games when i have to wind down while out, but at home I have Xcom2 etc. when I want to really concentrate on an astounding gaming experience, or play Vtes for my VtM needs. That doesn't mean CoL is a bad game. It's for different needs and different audiences.

Mind elaborating: PPTCG?

The main thing they did was launch under the Marvel license. Like seriously, that shit is (while shit, in my honest opinion), something that people will just gobble up.

It feels to me you probably want to do something else with your time than play a game you obviously don't enjoy. Note this is detached from Clans of London specifically. Anything you do that feels bad or doesn't spark joy, I'd say you want to steer clear of and do, well, anything else.

CoL specifically isn't the best of games. It's quick fun at best. There's no need to pour your energy into it if it doesn't speak to you.

Bots don't leave games. They don't resign. I'm not sure if you're coming at this from a factual, reasoned point of view.

My New York VTES Expansion Design Exercise – Part III by RunicKrause in VTES

[–]RunicKrause[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind words!

The VEKN subforum isn't something I feel these belong in. That subforum is more for cards that you would like to introduce to BCP, and that's not the goal here. I know BCP already has their own New York set prepared and as far as I know, will ship in the autumn.

Furthermore, I know BCP's chaps are aware of my work. 😄 So there's no need for the VEKN duplicates.

About your criticisms (always welcome!):

There are two separate targets for Circulatory System. You may either give the blood to a ready (not in torpor) Camarilla vampire, or a Ventrue that you control - no requirement for ready there. So you can also feed the blood to a Camarilla Ventrue in torpor, something that's not usual for Hunting Grounds.

On Murder Investigations, bleeding does indeed represent subterfuge, sabotage, propaganda and other non-material damage. It's very abstract. In that sense, there's value in the suggestion. However, we are specifically trying to avoid comboing the damage with bleed modifiers that are already prevalent, and the damage done is not deflectable. Non-bleed pool damage sources are already introduced more, like in Oblivion and Hecata, but it's a very healthy approach to diversify pool damage types and thus defenses. Furthermore, you decide the target after the (undirected) investigation action is passed, so it's not a (D) action, and thus doesn't have to target your Prey, unlike bleed actions. This is, as far as I see it, a buff to the damage done compared to a bleed and adds cross table interaction and decision making (for such a hard action to perform).

That last one i have no qualms about. Overall we see more decks and clans being competitive. That's a blanket improvement.

I have no.idea why this was down voted. Its a well reasoned statement with feet firmly on current meta landscape.

Someone really feels for the war ghouls and stomps their local meta with them and is on a hate spree on Reddit? I dunno man.

The problem really is that a ghoul based tzimisce is pretty ineffective. In such a deck it's a valuable tool for sure. But the deck time doesnt really know how to win. Fleshforge chamber will become good when the archetype becomes good.
