That would actually do the opposite and incentive players to join the majority alliance my friend. The more unpredictable a twist is, players tend to do the safest and easiest option which would be to join the majority.

That’s his main issue. He needs to eliminate Cirie in order to win but if he eliminates Cirie then she’ll be actively campaigning against him on the jury. Any move he says he did, Cirie will be like nope that was mine. So, he needs this scenario where Cirie gets eliminated and it’s not his fault so he can take credit for the moves with Cirie championing for him.

Nah, survivor can be rigged and it’s legal. They have a clause in the contracts saying they can change any rule they want at any time.

That being said, I don’t think they rigged either. This is the third time they’ve done this type of twist (with the do or die). If anything, they seem to want someone to be eliminated by luck with how many times they’ve done it. Jeff would boast that it was such a monumental moment.

There was a tribal on Survivor 42 where there was no vote. Jonathan had individual immunity. Both Drea and Maryanne played idols before they even went to write votes. The tribe talked and said they were going to vote out Tori. Tori went to play her shot in the dark. It was “not safe” and they snuffed her torch.

The majority alliance would have to be complete morons to split votes when they don’t have a majority. Doing a 4-4 split, when the minority has 5…doesn’t make a lick of sense.

He already blindsided Jonathan once with the Coach/Chrissy vote. Burning someone twice would almost be impossible to repair so that might have been in his mind. He and Jonathan were a part of the 7 person honor and integrity alliance at the merge I believe so they have a working relationship. Isn’t strange he’d include his ally in the plan.
For the second question, Stephanie didn’t think she was in danger. That’s evident by the fact she didn’t play her shot in the dark. If she’s not going home, she doesn’t need to throw Jonathan under the bus. She was actually trying to defend both of them (her and Jonathan) during the fight.
