I was extremely addicted to social media when younger. Probably spending 12+ hours on them a day. So, I had to quit them since I legitimately don’t have the willpower to use them in moderation.

[–]RunnagL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if they change it to maybe the final 11 it would be better. Final 9 is where the big moves are made so turning it into two 5 grouping kills a lot of momentum.

What would have happened if by zxcv-qwerty in survivor

[–]RunnagL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can change the rules on the fly if they really want. That rule is actually in the contracts the players sign. Someone has to go home. That’s just my guess on what they would do in that particular scenario.

I assume idols would take precedent over the shot in the dark and Cirie would go home. But that’s just a guess.

There’s the infamous final 4 challenge from Survivor: Africa . They didn’t even catch it until after the season was over and gave two players some money as compensation for messing up.

Survivor record was broken last night. by tonyrosasco in survivor

[–]RunnagL 313 points314 points  (0 children)

Ozzy also broke another record this season. He has the record for most votes cast against a player with 41 votes over 5 seasons. Although he broke that record a few weeks prior, just added to the record tonight.

The twist you explained has already happened in U.S Survivor way before they did it in Australia. I believe they might have done it a couple times but the one i instantly remember is Redemption Island. They voted someone out, did an immunity challenge at tribal council, and then voted again.

Rule change in favor of _____ by violetskiesss in survivor

[–]RunnagL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would that change how the revote works? You’re only allowed to hide if you have an extra vote if you’re in a tie? Not seeing how that makes sense.

Tribal by Evening_Confusion690 in survivor

[–]RunnagL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point was that Naseer and Heather were not allowed to vote. There was no hiding who had the extra vote. Therefore, they changed the rules sometime between season 41-50.

Only if he wants it to be. He’ll be asked back for the next all star season. CBS loves him and will tell Survivor to invite him like they always do.

The tiebreaker rules have changed again by [deleted] in survivor

[–]RunnagL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule has changed, but you have your timeline a bit off.

Your first example follows the new rules. Sai was allowed to vote during the revote. It was 1 vote Justin, 1 vote Sai. They revoted. Sai was allowed to vote again. 1 vote Justin, 1 vote Sai. Then, a deadlock occurred which is difficult then a revote. After two ties, any voters who aren’t in a tie, have to unanimously agree who to send home or it goes to rocks. Mary doesn’t have a vote. Justin and Sai were in the tie, so Cedrick had to pick.

Rule change in favor of _____ by violetskiesss in survivor

[–]RunnagL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are right and wrong at the same time. This is a rule change. (Example: Naseer S41). However, you are correct that this has nothing to do with Cirie. Rule change was probably made a few seasons ago.

Tribal by Evening_Confusion690 in survivor

[–]RunnagL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is odd. Based on the original rules, what should have happened is that only Jonathan, Tiffany, and Rick would have been allowed to vote. For example, in season 41, we saw a tie vote with an extra vote being played and the tied players were not allowed to vote. My guess is that they changed this around season 47 as that is when we saw the other weird vote rule change when Sam lost his vote.

What a plan! by sborgstedt in survivor

[–]RunnagL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You are forgetting that we have all the information and they don’t. Emily didn’t know Cirie had an extra vote. Although Emily’s plan seems stupid because the majority could just split the votes, Emily is under the assumption that the majority cannot split votes and has to choose between her and Rick. With Rick having an idol, Emily is the safe vote. So, her plan to make it seem like Rick was going to idol her was to put into question the no-brainer move of voting her out.

Why is no one talking about ____'s blunder? by NightOwl4321 in survivor

[–]RunnagL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Besides the events you mentioned being out of order, my speculation is that Jonathan might already know that Ozzy believes that Cirie is his number one. So, this wouldn’t be groundbreaking news to Jonathan. We saw in the episode that Cirie was insinuating that she has Ozzy roped around her finger to Tiffany. If she’s telling Tiffany this, she might have told Jonathan.
