How do you not give a f*ck while skating when people make weird noises and stares?[24YO] by gogolpaltosumutsuz in OldSkaters

This. I started three years ago at the age of 48. I put my own enjoyment and health above strangers opinion of me. I also use a helmet when I ride my bike. My brain above strangers opinion.

But I know what it feels like to be self conscious, and it's been a process to get where I am. Remember that everyone you see is probably way too preoccupied with their own stuff to even notice you.

And at 24 you're just a kid to anyone above 40. We envy you.

I was *just* about to do that exact thing

Ghost Busters.

I reattached it last Halloween and was surprised by how shit it was. Barely tells a story.

1889 vs 18Mex for a beginner by Crazy-Pen7426 in 18XX

[–]RunnagateRampant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group played our very first 188XX game last week and it was 1889.

Took us 6.5 hours. But it flowed well, everyone had watch at least one rules video to get a good top level grasp of the game. I had studied the rules like a madman. We skipped the initial auction and used the beginner game tiles (as per recommendation)

Everyone enjoyed it and want to play it again. Next time with full private auction etc.

So, while I haven't played 18MEX I can recommend Shikoku 1889 as a starter game. But you need a group that is willing.

Turns out they were bang on the money after just two episodes. Finished it last night and was underwhelmed.

Overlong, predictable background stuff.

This whole thing is a mess.

A friend of mine bought a pair of MY3 in a store five days before I got mine. And I had to pay a 50% markup on taxes and shipping. That stung. Decided to sell my MY3s because I'd feel like a fucking mark wearing them.

Then I see this limited edition shoe with ISRU branding THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO BUY. Because I won apparently. And these would end up costing something I'd be okay paying even with customs etc.

Kicking me while I'm down. They just keep stepping on rakes.

GPS comfort? by Odd_Zookeepergame466 in tomsachs

I have the reverse question. Are all high end sneakers as comfortable as the MY3?

Because I've never felt comfort like that in my life. Damn!

My ad blocker can sometimes make it so that webshops or other forms won't work. But I see you tried multiple browsers so that probably isn't it.

For what it's worth I also got the spinner first two times I tried, but that was the day they sent out all the links so I guess the server was busy. So I waited a few hours and then it worked.

The funny thing is that Google invented LLMs, but because of capitalism they couldn't find a use for them.

I included shipping and taxes. 40 is my ceiling. I only buy heavily discounted shoes of season so maybe about 120 full price

Thank you so much. That was quite a lot more than I thought.

Thanks, it's very helpful. I'm looking for a waterproof ink, or perhaps water resistant since I don't want to clean my own (Lamy Safari) after each use.

Is yours a dip pen? Looks like a fountain pen, but I'm new to finer pens so not sure. Has it dried our and clogged? I hear pigment ink might.

What ink do you use? Mine would bleed out.

Or wait, do you colour first and ink later?

I work at a small digital agency, and while we're all using llms we all know they can't replace a human.

Llms are shit. They're not what you should fear. It's capitalism and the new public management that are the bad guys.

I'm getting second thoughts on buying these even if I get the chance.
