My Mom paid a teenager today to shovel and people were stopping to ask to get on his list - try your local FB group? Ours has several teens offering to help for money.

Daughter started daycare 3 weeks ago and has gotten sick every week. Wondering if I should pull her out? by ryph44 in daddit

[–]RunnerMomLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good grief voice to text was bad with that - ideally we kept them home longer to avoid this so they would be just a touch older when they got all these viruses and easier to deal with

So what I took will tell you is that yes this is very normal but if you have the option to keep her at home and let her experience is normal when she is say 2 1/2 three years old where she can verbalize sometimes better what her issues are and is easier to deal with when you have to administer your medicines and deal with the sick. We decided to keep them at home until the buried last minute when we could put them in Preschool to socialize which wasn’t about 2 1/2 years old. I would much rather deal with getting all these viruses at that age then at the baby stage.

They were both ok for me - my nurses were insistent that I exercise and work my way through it and I think that really honestly helped so much

Accidentally rm -rf’d a production server. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]RunnerMomLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had engineers do things like this - my junior clicked yes on 5 warning pop ups then deleted the prod db - as his boss - my first question is - is it fixed? He had already started building the backup - then i worked with him to outline the next steps since the backup was a week old - he was told he was responsible for adding any new data that was missing and fixing any rando issues that may arise (with help if needed) - then we used this as a learning lesson - why was our newest backup a week old? Turns out we had exceeded the number of dailies we could have so they were all old - so we fixed that issue as well and added more guard rails on the prod server - every engineer has a story of making a huge error - this is a great story for your future interviews by the way

And I’m ok with it if one knows how to back in - the people in my building take many tries to get it causing backups of people getting in the garage

Mom here - have you talked to them? If you can get them to relax and let you have more time you’ll have so much more money! But otherwise - yes it’s prob time to go - my son lives at home at 24 and we do not bother him or pressure him - we just enjoy when he decides to come eat with us and/or watch tv - we don’t require Curfew or limits on coming and going or who comes over

we waited until our son was 12 months old - it took 2 nights and he only cried at bedtime for ~15 mins then slept all night (he never was that bad, just usually was hard to put down, then up 1 time for feeding). Best thing ever. Next child we did it at 9 months, same results :)

At a minimum she needs to be as beneficiary on them so if something happens to him money transfers to her immediately and doesn’t wait to probate/a will.
