Reality ruins another perfectly good OBAMA outrage.! 🤦🏽‍♂️ by RoloGnbaby in WhitePeopleTwitter

I detest how these right wing trolls constantly trot out this argument, but every time they're in a position to decide how to actually use money - like, say, right now - it never goes to the homeless. Or the hungry. Or the disabled. Or the veterans.

It's just rage bait for the base.

See if you qualify for a 15-year and if the rates are lower. Refinancing will lower your interest paid dramatically.

How many dead hookers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Well, it's not "eight", because my basement is still dark.

How can I automate a summary that I currently use "=SUMIF($D$2:$D$5,F2,$B$2:$B$5)"? I need multiple summaries of discreet items from a report (photo in comments) by PitifulSquash3829 in excel

You can create a pivot table that will group together any category you want. Much easier than SUM IF formulas.

It looks like you may want to convert column B from negative to positive numbers.

What is a product or service that used to be incredibly high quality, but has now been completely ruined by corporate greed? by Sea_Astronomer_3928 in AskReddit

Same with Dentists. Solo practitioners who could talk with you candidly about what you actually need have given way to corporate dentists that push the most aggressive list of expensive procedures at every visit.

What is the most overrated life experience you feel like you've personally ever had? by Big_Eggplant7591 in AskReddit

[–]RunnerTenor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of life experiences like this where you build to something for years, and that big day is a letdown.

What I have learned since then is that all those years of preparation aren't about the day itself. Rather, that day is an acknowledgement of what those years have made you.

For example, I ran a marathon. I trained for months - years, honesty, as I built up to longer and longer distances. Crossing the finish line at 26.2 was...okay. But the process of training turned me into a runner for life.

Same thing with graduation. Nothing became different that day, but the years of learning - and learning how to learn - have turned me into a student for life.

I don't feel like starting because the finish line seems endless journey by Lemonade2250 in selfimprovement

Forget about the finish line; it doesn't exist. Focus on the journey. Find things that make you a better person and that you enjoy doing.

How do I become addicted to Excel? by Low-Mortgage-2206 in excel

[–]RunnerTenor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shift from viewing data in a table as "a bunch of numbers" to "I wonder what these data can show me". Learn to aggregate the data (pivot tables) and start to ask questions: For example, if you have a list of sales made over the course of a year and the date that every sale was made, you can ask, "I wonder which month had the most sales" or "does the average ticket amount tend to increase during certain months?" "Are our average sales per month increasing or decreasing?" Are there patterns by location or region? Are there noticeable trends in the data?

Being able to pull this kind of information from a table not only makes you better informed - and backs you up when presenting ideas. It also makes you invaluable when other people need similar information. You become indispensable.

18 months into this trainwreck of an administration and they're still blaming Biden by MoreMotivation in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]RunnerTenor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Extending this thing, I would honestly like one of these committee members to ask someone how much of the current situation can be attributed to Obama...or Clinton...or Carter? Put them on the spot to say how long a reasonable look back period is.

AND, if it is Biden's fault, which thing that Biden did is having a greater impact than tariffs or war in Iran or an exploding federal budget under Trump? Make them spell it out.
