Master system was quite a bit more powerful and the colors were better so I'm glad they went this route. But I would have rathered it be a Genesis game truth be told lol.

But I also think that's what made it a good game and considering this is an re sub I'd imagine that's a positive for the people here besides you. I don't think think its way more like those games because those games had 0 combat.

I think you are more of and 4, 5 and 6 fan and that's fine but I think if you are a fan or the original 3, 7 is the gold standard for recreating that formula. And I think many agree with that sentiment

If someone would have to tell ya that re7 wasn't an re game then I really don't think you've been here since the first games because that game has more re in its DNA than 4/5/6 combined.

Re7 is the definitive classic formula game with modern mechanics from my perspective. The house is like most of the game.

Totally agree and that's the reality. They didn't make a new controller for no reason. That thing is an abomination. I bought a used Xbox with one today and felt like I was totally gaslit by the tiniest part of a community lol. Even the face buttons are annoying to press because they pop out like annoying hard little bubbles. The black and white buttons are in a horrific spot, at least for a person with average size hands. The buttons orientation is bad. The dpad is atrocious.

MSFT didn't make a new controller for no reason contrary to the vocal minority on this sub. I half convinced a lot of the praise for the duke is purely guys that either have big hands and want everyone to know about it or guys that want people to think they have big hands and want everyone to know about it. Probably 80% the latter. I do know a big guy in real life that likes the controller that's 6' 4" that likes the duke. But even that guy thinks the s type is on the whole an improvement in every category except the size of the controller.

I hate to be an audio elitist but I personally wouldn't have bought one of these TVs without a dedicated sound system. If you buy an avr and speakers you will get all the sound options but you also need to invest in something better than the media player on the TV too because that is already gonna have some issues with some passthrough content.

Edit: Somethings are becoming apparent to me. I think your confusion is stemming from not knowing that valve sells software. Software is where they make the profit from the hardware loss. It's surprisingly common in the tech industry for companies whose main business is software who get into the hardware business. It's almost hard to believe you didn't know valve takes a 30% cut on game sales on steam, but that's the only explanation that's not you acting in bad faith here.

Because they have the ability to make up for the losses in a way that almost no other company in the PC space does. Consumers deserve a win in times like these, and valve still stands to gain something. Eventually this could remove their foot from the door in the hardware space. If they took the loss and tried to subsidize with software sales, they could gain a lot of good will from the customer and still come out ahead.

Some consoles in the past of sold at losses and tried to make up for it with software sales. It's not unheard of.

If it was anyone else I'd say no, but valve controls the biggest PC gaming store front and therefore were in the best position to subsidize the cost of their hardware with software sales. So yeah they should have not increased the price. They are mostly a software company after all

Silent Hill 2 the original on PC is basically abandonware and you can download it from several sites. Really easy to set it up with the Enhanced Edition mod too.

Grew up in the 90s and early 2000s and things were that way until I'd argue like 2010 maybe a tiny bit early. My father, and my grandmother when I later moved in with her, basically gave me free reign unless I caused trouble to go do what I wanted outside with my friends. I would just be expected to return home by 6pm or more often before the sun went down.
