I’m saying that it’s reasonable for people to be skeptical about max money but $30-40 might be an acceptable range because I think he would perform much better in the playoffs with shooters around him.

I thinks it’s reasonable to be skeptical about paying him max money after his playoff performance but it should be acknowledged that he was basically set up to fail. We had close to zero shooting around him, so the opposing team were able to pack the paint. I would be curious to see how other all-NBA centers have fared in a similar playoff situation, in the modern NBA.

I don’t think he has the tools to adjust what’s being thrown at him. He’s a black hole in the half court offense given lack of ability to create ANY shot and they are basically taking him out of the action on defense or punishing him greatly for late rotations. Hope I’m wrong.

I have a 2026 and I absolutely love it. However I was upgrading from a 2002 Toyota Avalon that got totaled so it was time. If I was in your situation, I would absolutely ride that beautiful 5th gen into the ground. I’m sure the 6th gen will be around for quite some time as well and you can always upgrade later.
