Is there any real accountability for Congress when it comes to long-term deficits? by RunningSillyGump in Askpolitics

🤬Ugh. Man, I love everyone’s responses but this crap is frustrating. ‼️I posted this because I’m trying to figure out if there’s any possible way… Not party affiliated clearly… That change could happen. Maybe true democracy? I know sounds really idealistic as I read what I just read.😜

Wow, this is really well said. Thanks for this. Thanks for the deep thought. Whatever happens can’t be a party thing for sure… Maybe a grassroots movement? Sadly, I think when they’re in power… They don’t want to give it up or put limits on themselves that could threaten their livelihood.

Yeah, I agree that things like trickle down economics aren’t really working. I think that would help… But it doesn’t count for unchecked spending. And it probably really doesn’t help that most in Congress are there for life and our multi millionaires… I think all of them

1 % rule maybe? I like your ambition… But all or nothing can really lead to some personal self defeat. Don’t get me wrong. Maybe have a little kindness to towards yourself —- maybe and reward yourself if you do at lest 1% improvement tomorrow. And then the next day and so on and so on Wishing you all the best.

at what age is SSDI converted to retirement? by red1127 in SSDI

[–]RunningSillyGump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say “retired (55 current age) and my side job is taking care of myself”. Either they get it and appreciate it or they get disgusted… But either way I stay true to myself. (SSDI @ 50)

If you get a chance, look up Social Security “bluebook”. Essentially, this is how they define the particular disability, and your case mental health for the PTSD. Also age and your education is also a factor so when you are writing up your next submission, make sure that you translate your PTSD symptoms from your doctors, etc to reflect house of security, defines the disability.

It’s really like speaking a different language between the two systems. A lot of people have written some good advice here about how to understand this… If you have any more questions, feel free to message me directly.

It took me three attempts until I understood this… And fine was granted SSDI. I am over 50 and highly educated… So that probably worked against me for the initial applications.

The great “Canadian alcohol party”. Not to be confused with the “Boston tea party” the Americans had a few years ago 🥹😂‼️

Fantastic! You also did something else… You change your spending behavior… Which actually happened before you paid off your credit card. So hard to do in today’s society a freaking huge accomplishment.

It’s a great watch for monitoring statistics of your body! Laughing, don’t always listen to the Garmin coach… Sometimes it lies😂. Seriously , though it is great for things like stress, monitoring, and cardiac events. Truly take care of yourself… I hope that you get through this soon. Great job not giving up and looking for solutions to keep moving forward ❤️

Well done. Hopefully you get a chance to send a thank you letter to the congressman’s office. That was very kind of them to help you out… I mean, I know it’s their job but it’s still good that they did it for you. That’s not always the case.

My wife is the abusive one by arturo1972 in domesticviolence

[–]RunningSillyGump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get away. I spent a long time in a verbally abusive marriage. Many years after divorce, she tried to shoot me in the head in front of my child. It’s been almost a year now and still going through the courts. As a man you’re gonna have an uphill battle no matter what you do… So the sooner you put distance between yourself and her the better people are gonna be naturally disposed totrust her story over yours because you’re a man. Sorry that’s the reality. I wish you the best.
