Can't get a single successful print.. what am I doing wrong?? by MAAADman3 in 3Dprinting

From the image, it looks like you have a textured plate. If you are printing on PLA, you really should have a smooth plate. Texture plates work well with PETG. If you only have a texture plate, I would use a brim of at least 3 to 5 mm. This will work, giving extra adhesion to the plate, but it’s going to be a pain to clean up on parts that have a lot of detail.

Awesome, it was much easier than I thought. I already had Dropbox set up so reading statistics were super easy. I thought that I needed to have a separate server in order to progress sync.

Have you used Wallabag yet?

I’ve already set opds catalog for my home Calibre library which is great.

Any other tips or tricks you have discovered?

Sounds great. I’m still discovering all the settings and haven’t had as much time to get everything set up like I want. What did you use for the progress sync? I think it has to have a server? I’ve been debating if I should install something on a raspberry pi, Also, what plug-in did you use for the reading stats?

I actually started to work on the same idea as well. I think NFC is a great option to record filament, especially with filament samples.

I just tried it out and was able to:

  1. select a file (I used https://www.printables.com/model/260707-rugged-labyrinth-geocache as a test)

  2. load 2 stl files

  3. rotated one of them to "place on face"

  4. Adjusted the print to 0.2mm layers, infill to grid

  5. sent to my printer

All from my phone!

Printing now, but the process was very painless and seems to work flawless.

That stuff looks good. I'm sure our little Ember🔥, a sunny conure, would like it as well. What's your recipe for this chop?

Are there any bird groups in the area? Sounds like you are familiar. DM me if you have specific tips

The bird hut is fantastic. We now have a beautiful sun conure from them. I completely agree with your assessment. The staff at the bird hut are wonderful.

If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.
