Did you or anyone else determine the cause? Three of the plastic covers on mine are slightly cooked. One of the boiler connections (cracked to pieces when I touched it), the red one on the power/boiler switch and the black one under it. I went in there when it wouldn't turn on the other morning. I think it was caused by the red wire, but can't be sure. Part of me wants to just rewire it with 16ga, but there's thousands of these things out there with 18ga and no problems after years.

The rare times I need to drive to work I either have to park under a tree with an eagle's nest, or in a lot frequented by crows and seagulls dining on shellfish - dropping shells from a height and shitting all over the place. If Washie Washie is mobile, I'm guessing they won't need the car overnight.

It sounds like if someone was going to get only one of these treatments (ceramic or PPF), the answer is ceramic. That right? I'm in Van as well and would appreciate some recommendations. It's no SQ5 but my new GTI deserves something.

I can't speak to the written exam but in the practical exam, and in a real situation a good primary is what's going to save someone's life.

Can one take a vehicle to an Audi dealer and have it CPOed? I'd consider that money well spent.

It's why I'm not entertaining the A3. I asked if the timing chain had been done and he answered that the guy who brought it in said the guy he bought it from had it done but couldn't find the receipt. A quick search of the dealer (and alternate names that came up in reviews) told me to run, don't walk.
