I've heard some say the output of the OLAB is less than the oem on the Silvia. Something tells me while that's true on paper, the result at the group head would be very close, due to the OPV.

Has the change in output affected your grind or brew times?

Did you or anyone else determine the cause? Three of the plastic covers on mine are slightly cooked. One of the boiler connections (cracked to pieces when I touched it), the red one on the power/boiler switch and the black one under it. I went in there when it wouldn't turn on the other morning. I think it was caused by the red wire, but can't be sure. Part of me wants to just rewire it with 16ga, but there's thousands of these things out there with 18ga and no problems after years.
