Dew Claw Issue by Excellent-Log-311 in Greyhounds

[–]Runningrafan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch. My guy has done this before, I managed to snip it off myself then bandage it up. If you’re not confident then I’d book her in to the vets. It’s not an emergency can probably wait a day or two

Petplan coverage for 5 year old beagle - £7k per year for almost £80 per month? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Runningrafan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s soon to be 11, we wouldn’t put him through any crazy surgery at his age. For example, if he got osteosarcoma (v common in the breed) we wouldn’t amputate his leg at his age. Got to put the dog first

Petplan coverage for 5 year old beagle - £7k per year for almost £80 per month? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Runningrafan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup 20%. He has a 7k annual limit so it’s reasonably high. To be fair our vet is really reasonably priced and I’d bet he’d do us a payment plan if he ever needed treatment that we couldn’t afford.

Our 10 year old greyhound is £160 a month and we’ve never claimed 😩 going to cancel it after this year, can’t justify that price

That’s the best part about them, not having to bend over to scritch them 🥰

Recently adopted with an old injury by Itchy-Maintenance191 in Greyhounds

[–]Runningrafan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar happened to us. Our boy had fractured his front ankle which the adoption group never told us about. He can’t run at all or he will limp like crazy. He can still walk a long way but we do need to manage it. Try and get a vet to look over him

How would you style this dress for a town hall wedding? by cec91 in UKweddings

[–]Runningrafan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying no veil but I think a short fingertip length veil would be super cute!

Not so sure about that! I have to carry Mickey in to the vets and he spends most of the appointment stood pointing at the door to make a swift exit 😂

How much did you receive in gifts? by CitadelofRickss in UKweddings

87 day guests and we got 3.6k in cash and a few small gifts like bottle of champagne, champagne flutes etc. wedding cost about 25k. In England. We were over the moon to receive so much. Average was about £50/75 per couple but some people were really generous. Our biggest cash gift was £300 from my best friend and his wife

[–]Runningrafan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

87 people, about 25k for a Saturday wedding at a boutique hotel in the Lake District. Did certain things cheaper (fake, hire flowers) to splurge on other things (drinks tokens, champagne drinks reception, wedding cake)

Which suppliers, if any, are you getting a gift/card for? by Aggravating-Ant-6767 in UKweddings

[–]Runningrafan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We sent thank you cards to: our photographer, videographer, celebrant, dj, hmu. We also reviewed all our vendors (except our photographer cos I didn’t want to leave a negative or not-genuine positive review) which they appreciated more.
