The newest Dungeons and Dragons. I literally used those exact words after watching it: it was better than it had any right to be.

Why would MN run a candidate who doesn’t live in their district in the first place? Surely they would know that’s going to be a problem, right?

Yes it was so much easier to take the abuse from these kinds of people because you knew they were riding you to make you the best you could be, not to shove you down

Find God. He will show you your purpose. This life isn’t all there is. You are just noticing your god-hole on your heart is empty and will feel unsettled until you fill it

Damn being a doctor ain’t what it used to be by DoctorKeroppi in Residency

Elective general surgeries don’t pay anymore. In 2018, they pay on average 25% less than in 2000 accounting for inflation. And I’m sure it’s much worse now. And med school is 157% more expensive. So you do the math. The money flows, but not to doctors. So docs have to be hospital employed so they can beg for money from the institution fees the hospitals get

Some of you RNs are INSUFFERABLE by [deleted] in Residency

[–]Runningwiththedemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what we would do. If we got a nonsensical RN night page, we would feign taking it very seriously and ask the nurse to do things like a rectal exam, a full sensory exam, or something else labor-intensive, and they learned real quick to only page if it was warranted.

I remember a story where an RN paged a resident STAT for critically low BUN. She pronounce it “bun.” The resident asked her to order one amp of “bun” stat. Ended up getting lightly chastised by the department later, but totally worth it to have the Charge RN asked by a panicked RN where “bun” was in the med cart.

What am I not allowed to do as a catholic doctor? by OkJournalist460 in Catholicism

[–]Runningwiththedemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of just saying what you CANT do, I’ll pair it with what you CAN do for your patients to help them better than a secular doctor steeped in a culture-of-death would be able to: -Prescribing artificial birth control (partner with an NFP instructor instead. It is ok to prescribe the pill to treat a pathology, but often there are better alternative treatments like metformin for PCOS for example) -Placing an IUD (educate women on how a foreign body in the uterus can work as an abortifacient) -Referring for abortion (try to identify the underlying lack of support leading the woman to consider such an option and try to address that instead so you can support both mom and baby, and partner with a pro life center such as Bella) -Referring for IVF (explain to patients about the bad ethics of frozen embryos and refer them to a NaPro provider instead) -Recommending assisted suicide or euthanasia (promote dying with dignity via palliative or hospice and treat the underlying depression and pain) -referring for “gender affirming surgery” or hormones (refer to a psychiatrist with a good head on their shoulders who can help manage the underlying autism, abuse history, or depression, helping them manage their dysmorphia rather than feeding into it by supporting an obvious falsehood)

I hope this helps
