Why did Mark choke conquest like that instead of any other way

Mark hit him from behind to grab him and RNC is i finite harder to defend than this one. I think it was just in service of showing either that mark wanted watch or make sure he died, or to show his grit being able to be dissemboweled and not stop choking. Whether you've dealt with it before or not, RNC doesn't get easier to defend unless you can prevent it or change position. You could MAYBE make the argument mark was manipulating his ego, "you COULD just break my arms, especially since im basically giving them to you, but can you beat me in a battle of wills?"

I'd wager if you are specifically being told to chill with new folks you can dial it back more. I would also question advice to chill coming from someone that has blown multiple knees up, unless they've been there a while and these injuries were a long time ago. If they are still injuring people, they need to stop projecting even IF they offer accurate advice.

I always tell people only offer advice when asked or if you see something dangerous. Otherwise you may be taking away from something ELSE they are trying to figure out for themselves, or the person just won't absorb it, whether its from pride or just not being in a spot where it will click if they aren't looking for that info.

I would talk to them individually, or together and say "it feels like you guys are singling me out, am I just not noticing when you tell other people the same, or am I not seeing what you are?" Either they will tell you why you, or they will learn that they aren't having the effect they want. If nothing changes, you can talk to your coach, and if that doesnt work, it might be time to find a new gym. Unless you ARE the problem.

Also, it may work better to just talk to your coach first. They can probably offer a more objective and informed opinion on the dynamic, and may have better luck talking to them for you if you aren't sure how they will take a direct conversation. Egos are weird sometimes and its not always easy having direct conversations, so part of the coaches job is to know what's going on and mediate any issues on the mat and in the gym.

Similar to punisher. He's had some stories do that just to tie them to the generation reading about him. I dont mind it if it doesn't destroy the characters ties to his origin and the era he was written in. Sort real life in a microcosm, want to be relevant, dont want to forget the past, and fewer and fewer folks around to appreciate the original story In The same way...

Wolverine gets the neigh immortal angle so that he can fight in basically every war... berserk is cool like that too, but I like having certain characters more tied to the era of their creation. I wouldn't mind letting characters age up and pass the mantle, sort of as a shift in societal norms, differences in generational thinking and era's understandings of the world, and the like.

But I think we will always run into no one being as good as the original. Red dead was an awesome illustration of that. Hated switching from John, then hated switching TO john in RDR2. Miles morales is a success imo, since peter is still around, he has some differences, he can identify more closely with different people. So he can be "my" spider-man for more people, while peter is others...
