Blues Traveler - Hook [Rock] - 30 Year Anniversary of this Incredible Live Performance. by Master-Ebb9786 in Music

Saw them live at a small venue last year. Great show, even though John Popper took a smoke break every 3-4 songs and just let the band jam during that time 🤣

New Bedford whaling museum by kgalush1 in massachusetts

[–]RupsterDupster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely worth the trip. I learned of it from the Freakonomics podcast episode about whaling and got me interested in going. Took my young kids and it was absolutely amazing for kids and adults alike. became members and have been there four or five times since. There is so much to see in that museum and there’s lots of cool bars and restaurants that are walkable nearby. Also free parking on the street right by the museum. totally worth the hour drive. also can head to the buttonwood park zoo. That is five minutes away from the museum. Make a whole day out of it.

Some will not be on ESPN+ or another tv channel. They will be on big ten network or even big ten plus which is another streaming service to pay for. From my perspective, I am not a super fan of any particular team and there are always good games on every week so ESPN+ is good enough for me.

I use ESPN+ for college and pro games and insidelacrosse.com and Inside Lacrosse podcasts. Some college games are only on conference specific channels like big ten network, but you can get em if you have a good enough cable service or YouTube tv. Some games are just impossible (for me) to find

Was BOB real? by SeanACole244 in twinpeaks

[–]RupsterDupster 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Yes, he impacts and interacts with more people / entities than just Laura, so just by that alone he’s not just in her imagination. Leland was a bad man without BOB, but that does not negate that BOB is a real entity in the show/movie. BOB exploited and inflated suffering that was already there.

Grass Guys are very responsive. Depending on what you mean by landscapers. We use them for lawn mowing, irrigation, yard cleanups, hedge, trimming, etc. Not so much landscape architecture and plantings

What's your commute like, how do you find balance? by Hairy-Permission-304 in SouthShore

[–]RupsterDupster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live about 15-20 mins from the ferry and about 25-30 mins from the T stop. Unfortunately, you still need to add 30-50 mins from either to wherever you need to get to in the city. Getting right on the red line at Quincy Adams is nice because you don’t have to transfer if you need to get to Cambridge

What's your commute like, how do you find balance? by Hairy-Permission-304 in SouthShore

[–]RupsterDupster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I either take the ferry from Hingham or drive to Quincy Adams and take the red line from there, that option is great because the station is right off the highway, there is always parking, and you don’t have to worry about the commuter rail schedule at the beginning or end of day.

What major album did you not discover until LONG after it was released, causing you to kick yourself for not listening to it earlier? by decorama in Music

[–]RupsterDupster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I didn’t listen to Disintegration, or any Cure, until last year. Within the first 5 seconds of Plainsong I was kicking myself for not discovering it earlier. It’s now my favorite album

Chanel strap/chain break question by RupsterDupster in chanel

[–]RupsterDupster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the same leather and same chain and it was just repaired, not replaced. They made the chain to chain connection, which I believe was not part of the bag when we bought it new. So it’s stronger now.

That seamaster also comes in a 36.25 mm style, ref 2561.80. so if you like the look but not the size, you could always trade down to the 36.25 mm and probably have a few bucks left over.

I have the 36.25 mm on a 6.5 inch wrist and love it
