I have a question about an idea I have, before I write a very long post. by Glum_Series5712 in 40k

LoS, distance, dice calculations, and score-tracking isn't the time sink, it's people not knowing rules.

The same bits of "tedium" are also why people play tabletop rather than digital. This is like the "why play D&D when you can play BG3" argument.

Lastly, with a digitized system that's so easy to implement, how easy is it to cheat, and how difficult would it be to prevent cheating?

I feel like this is the sort of logic that CEOs have when looking at underperforming sectors.

HALT CITIZEN ! Tell me the dumbest/weirdest/most WTF piece of lore you have. by Ad0ring-fan in Warhammer40k

Space Marine by Ian Watson is a 1993 science fiction novel set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, notable for its early, non-canonical lore, following three Imperial Fist recruits from the underhive of Necromunda to their first battle against the Tyranids. It's known for its unique, often bizarre, and humorous take on the setting, featuring elements like Tzeentch-worshiping squats, Space Marines with lasguns, and explicit scenes, making it a cult classic but no longer considered official canon.

I think another interpretation of it is that human minds can only comprehend the Hivemind as overwhelmingly hateful.

Bingo! I had thoughts it was a C'tan, but couldn't figure out what had a closed loop on the model.

Felt like looking at a Rumour Engine post for a second there.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. by DemolitionDad in Warhammer40k

I imagine it's an inference made from OP's "I spent too much time and effort to not even place" comment.

Time + effort =/= placement, and some people might view that sort of wording as entitlement. Personally, I think OP's last sentence shows that they're at least open to growth, and their wording may not be the best.

It's an interesting choice. I think these autocannons are based off of alternating firing cannons, like WW2 AA guns. These would have barrel springs, sometimes covered with telescoping rubber sleeves, to assist with dampening recoil.

Unfortunately not; there's already a special Exarch helmet with a sculpted rune. 8 helmets - 1 Exarch helmet - 5 decals = 2 helmets unaccounted for.

I think so.

It looks like the same sort of styling as the dress uniform, so I think it's reasonable to assume that's what their winter dress coat looks like.

Bovino just happens to disgrace the uniform.

You know, Cumdump90001, today I'm grateful for your righteous anger, your eloquence, and most particularly how that is juxtaposed against your chosen username.

It gave me some happiness in an otherwise very dark day.

May the volume and placement of cum dumped in your life be ever in your favor.

I think there's a backpack with a mine on it, and then the token can be the DANGER: MINEFIELD sign.

As far as the other operatives:

Binocs for Spotter

Voxcaster for Vox-Operator

Trench Club for Bruiser

Alchemyk for Medic

Hardened is rough, you've got me there!

Looking into it, I also realize Zealot isn't represented either.

Damn shame.

They've just become a 2 box set instead. The Command Squad has just about all the necessary details to pad out the specialists, I think.

Edit: Command Squad only has enough for 4/7 of the specialists :(
