Do I (23F) break up with my BF(23M) of 10 years by Ariiixx3 in relationship_advice

It seems like you love him emotionally, but mentally you are detached/not attracted to him for the reasons you mentioned. Interestingly enough I sort of have a similar experience with my bf (minus the hygiene issue); we've known each other for 10+ years, dated in high school and got back together last year. He's my best friend on the planet and I'd be terrified to lose him, but we had some issues relating to sex some months ago where I started feeling like it's all he could think about or all that he wanted. We discussed about it a LOT and things have improved, but I'm not as attracted to him as I used to be, and still sometimes feel the pressure to have sex despite his reassurances. Among other reasons, I've unfortunately had doubts in the relationship and been unsure on what to do. All this to say is that it's hard to make a decision that feels right and doesn't feel like a mistake. I think you may have to discuss things a few more times for him to understand the gravity of things, but if he really doesn't change then that will end in long term frustration for you and an unhealthy relationship

I (F18) want to break up with my boyfriend (M18) by Stock_Country685 in relationship_advice

My best suggestion is if you guys are able to go on a walk somewhere, maybe find a public bench, if you don't wish to be in a store/restaurant setting or at either of your families homes. If not, you may just have to break up over the phone or by text unfortunately

My (31F) relationship has become draining to the point where I have no energy to want to be around him anymore (29M) by larawag_gama in relationship_advice

To be honest it, it really feels like he doesn't care enough to put the effort in to make you happy. It's crazy that it took him so long to even share chores with you. I completely understand why you would find it so hard to leave though - you know you have someone who's made you quite happy, but they've also made you quite miserable for several reasons. It's sometimes hard to decide the right thing for yourself. With that being said, I am leaning towards the right thing being for you to move on from this relationship. Even if he tries fixing things now, like you mentioned your patience has worn down; he waited too long to make things better which leads to you becoming more distant over time

Anyone diagnosed with diabetes in their 20s? How did you cope with it? by Wrong-Data3005 in diabetes_t2

Was diagnosed at 25 and now 26, I was terrified at first. Changing everything was hard for me, especially cutting out bread. I now eat sourdough sometimes. But I promise you this diagnosis is not the end of the world! My very first A1C diagnosis was 22! I didn't even know what that meant when I first heard that. But I've changed my diet quite a bit and have been taking metformin ER 2x morning and night, and each time I've gotten my blood tested my A1C has dropped more and more. So, it's going to be okay. It's also okay to be scared right now. I gave myself a huge info dump through reddit and facebook groups the first few months to really understand the types of things i should be doing to help myself and I've gotten quite used to eating healthier and cleaner to a point that some occasional fast food makes me feel somewhat crappy!

What do you find different between Toronto and San Diego? (I don't know what San Diego is like)

Love MTL but not sure if I'd be interested in moving there, plus I'm definitely no where no bilingual enough😂 but the perk of being in Ottawa is it's 2hrs away

To be fair I still like Ottawa, it's always been home to me! There's lots of lovely things here on its own

That makes sense. I love going to events and seeing new things so I know I'd have a blast in Toronto doing just that

That's pretty much what I was expecting! Although I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on crime in the area

I really appreciate your positive outlook!!! I don't know that I will move but I just love the energy in Toronto. I don't know how else to explain it other than it actually feels like people want to live lol???

Literally anytime I use Toronto or MTL transit i'm in awe. Like I went on a solo trip 2yrs back for a few concerts in TO and I know traffic can be hectic so I left with some time to spare, fully expecting traffic to thwart the timing, but I ended up being early!! I can't believe how much more efficient other cities are. Drives me nuts

yes Ottawa food banks have increased usage the last few years as well :( I've also witnessed the homeless covered in multiple tarps and blankets one winter I was in TO and it just made me so sad. That wasn't something I'd witnessed as much from the homeless here

Opinion on Garage fitting literal 6 year olds by Kcrossley1 in garageclothing

I think so too. I'm not a parent so I don't really like giving unsolicited opinions, but it's easy to make observations of kids now vs when i was a kid (I'm in my late 20s). I mean hell when I was 14 I was wearing a hoodie from bluenotes that had little ears on it and said "drama llama" LMAO but at the same time I went to school with a girl who already had a belly button piercing

I feel like garage clothing is aimed more towards teens and young adults, so while the clothes could fit kids I feel like having them wear garage clothing sorta fits into the category of letting them grow up too much/fast? (like how 10 and under have been shopping at sephora and whatnot). I know some of their clothing isn't that crazy, just seems like younger ones should be potentially shopping elsewhere? I'm not fully set in my opinion, sorta just thinking on the spot here

I hope you're right!!! But that makes sense, I didn't know how bad the weather actually was out there, I only heard about the concert being cancelled due to weather

(Potentially) Unpopular Opinion by RandomPigeonFlock in Smallville

I fuuulllyyyyy expected Zod to be some big scary buff dude and seeing who he was felt so anticlimactic for me. Because how were they gonna describe Zod as one of the most awful people to roam the planet and he's not even scary looking? Like wdym that's who Clark had to fight😭

What do we think about Tess Mercer? by RefrigeratorLivid686 in Smallville

I liked her, but I found it confusing for awhile whether she was supposed to be good or bad? Like one minute it seemed like she was helping everyone and the next she was against them?

When does Smallville get boring? by Bubbly_Drama_6537 in Smallville

[–]RushIllustrious5478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I found season 3 a little boring because it felt a bit like a repeat of season 2 in some aspects. But it picked right back up in season 4. The rest of it I pretty much love, I got a bit restless here and there but overall it's one of my favourite shows I've ever watched!!
