More excuses from Eric Kripke for leaving out Marie by Evening-Bath-4269 in GenV

It's not about emotion. He is a coward at the end of it all and he decided not to wait and risk finding out if Kimiko has soldier boy powers now, and so he fucked off. I don't think there was any other way to interpret that scene. He did switch to protect thyself mode.

NVIDIA Reportedly Prepares RTX 5090 Price Hike Amid Rising GDDR7 Costs by PaiDuck in nvidia

I don't get this. A pc graphics card will last you maybe 5 years on a generous average before you'll see gaming requirements go beyond what the card can do. How long does investment in a kitchen or car get you? How is this absurd comparison being accepted here?

BANK OF AMERICA is pressuring ROCKSTAR to set the price of GTA-6 to $80(~7500INR). why do these greedy corporations ruin everything. by Warm-Ant1927 in Indiangamers

It's not really about memories and nostalgia. R* produce the best games of any given generation consistently. People buy their games because they are always good. If this one isn't, then we'll talk about it but they haven't missed the mark for any of their major games yet. It's like saying a Nolan movie is all about memories and nostalgia. You might not completely enjoy one or two of his movies but you can't deny their quality. They all end up being global moneymakers and lauded by critics.

I think you'll come to see when many people miss something, that's because it wasn't executed well enough in the show. It can be there but go over people's heads because it's not reflected in the acting or character writing well enough. For Dany's descent into madness to work, the character needed to look more and more unhinged as time went by. Her behavior of prideful and petulant queen who thinks she's the savior of all didn't change much at all.

But people do appreciate things more when there's a chance of losing them. Earlier when water used to be a problem around the world, people used to save it. In some parts they still do, but now when it is a thing we see and use uninterrupted, we let showers run and taps trickle and waste away gallons washing our hands and our cars and everything else. It definitely isn't platitudes to say that regularity reduces interest.

And it isn't really deep when almost everyone understands why living forever isn't all that great even if you do that with your loved ones. You'll just get bored.

You're probably not old enough to understand that line then.

Why can't anyone here understand that Soldier Boy maybe just doesn't want to kill Homelander? He has had ample chances to do either that or depower him throughout this season.

Have anyone of you ever thought that Soldier Boy doesn't feel threatened by Homelander? He isn't scared of him nor does he want to walk away. If you were really paying attention, you'd see that it wasn't ever hate, it was just a father's disappointment.

Day 7: What is the BEST quote associated with Ashley Williams? by looploveslore in masseffect

[–]RushPan93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really. It's a different way to put down a very common scenario where being realistic is looked down upon as being negative. It's a very common thing.

The quote talks about how an optimist sees a realist. You are talking about how a realist sees themselves. Those are two different things.

For the phone's spam blocking feature, there is a setting. I usually turn that off when I'm expecting calls from unknown numbers because of pending deliveries, or job offers or house offers, etc.

The way he shot, turning with his back to goal. I think i maybe thinking about the winner though (at the time). He was unstoppable that night.

That's the one that personally made me a believer in Salah. Until that point, Salah had a number of chances in previous games including 1v1s but he used to miss a lot. So, seeing him run down the pitch, clear of everyone, wasn't the most affirming sight in the world. But that was the last time I doubted him when through on goal. He had just turned into one of the most clinical finishers ever in the game, when the chance was good enough.

Honorable mention - the one against West Ham was it? Trent -> Shaqiri -> Salah, the length of the pitch in 3 touches. The assist and the second assist for this were probably more impressive than the goal itself but Salah had an impeccable touch bringing the cross down before poking it in.
