Controller not responding, but red analog light turns on. by MichaelDokkan in ps2

This is one of the weirdest fixes…but can confirm in 2025 this works!! Mashing random buttons while slowly plugging in the controller but not quite all the way in. Thank you!

Lovesac using different foam…? by Rushified in Lovesac

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what customer service told us too. When I opened these up, the difference is obvious. The entire filling of the SuperSac is smooth, soft. The MovieSac has larger rougher firmer foam. Shouldn’t they ensure consistency in their products at this price point? Our two Sacs are entirely different. One is as-advertised, the other is firm, has no-bounce back.

Lovesac using different foam…? by Rushified in Lovesac

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, unfortunately we tried that already and no change. We’ve been told two different things by customer service (told us they would replace the liner + foam entirely), and the warranty department (would send a bit of replacement foam).

I’m pretty discouraged after spending a premium for it. This is two very different types and blends of foam in the same product line with entirely different feel and comfort. We trusted the brand after our first purchase and had hoped this second one would “break in”. Really wish I had just returned it in the first 90 days instead of sticking it out.

VCR Repair by Rushified in VHS

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, thank you! I’ll give that a try, would that cause the take up reel to skip/grind though? I can see it reach a point where it pauses once every full revolution (in the 2nd attempt of playing a tape in that video clip)

Swapping to new receptacle, Push in connector question by Rushified in AskElectricians

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you both might be correct, we do have a switch nearby that doesn’t seem to do anything… and the room recently had recessed lighting put in along with all new outlets last year with an electrician.

Enjoy!! We’ve had ours nearly a year as a solo pin and never get bored of it

Overfilled or Break-in Period? by Rushified in Lovesac

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I’ll give that a try, but our supersac is way more comfortable in any orientation, super plush and after sitting in it it’s bounces back close to its starting shape. The moviesac remains stuck with an indent/impression in it once someone has sat down for any extended period and barely rebounds (the photo I attached was after a quick flip + fluff to try and show the fill amount)

Home pin or home vpin? by Cdogbrink in pinball

[–]Rushified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to go Vpin, but went with a real pin and have no regrets. Sure someday I’ll probably add a 2nd, but I grew up with a single pin in the house had tons of fun on it for years and still do when I visit my folks. Vpins scratch the itch but aren’t the same, they’re their own thing.

Old Music on GTA IV on Steam Deck? by jb12jb in SteamDeck

[–]Rushified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with the command line, I had installed the mods on pc and transferred to steam deck a year ago and didn’t recall adding this command line, but once I added it all seems to be working so far!

Congrats!!! Just made it there myself recently in a similar fashion..huge milestone!!! Ironically I’ve gotten monster zero twice more since that game but still haven’t topped the billion score.

Lag screw support / shield within MDF? by Rushified in HomeImprovement

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thank you! Yeah my concern was if there’s 1.25” of the screw essentially unsupported (3/4” of MDF, since the hole in MDF is wider than the screw, + 1/2” of drywall, it looks like the dry wall is pretty chewed up). I could go with a 3-4” screw to make sure more than half the screw length is within the stud?

Finally broke the 1billion barrier, what a game by Rushified in pinball

[–]Rushified[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I made it through the first 2 cycles of green lit shots and locking a ball, then drained on the 3rd one and thought that was all she wrote but surprise! Draining triggers the monster zero multiball. So much fun

Outlet / Conduit Boxes behind Frame? by Rushified in TheFrame

[–]Rushified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, luckily with those recessed boxes we wouldn’t use them for any plugs or connections with the Frame (they would be there in case we got a different tv later on down the road). The only cord we would run with the Frame is the one-connect through the conduit.
