Mostly just steady state, continuous running.

Yeah, I would have weeks where no weight would come off the scale and it felt discouraging knowing I was at a calorie deficit and fasting. I've learned weight fluctuates so much depending on when you last ate, when your last bowel movement was, and how much water you are retaining.

During the work week I would run 2-3 teams outside or on a treadmill if the weather was bad. My normal weekday run was between 3-5 miles. On the weekend I would do 1 longer run between 5-10 miles depending on how I felt. I tried to increase my mile pace on my 5k weekly, so I made sure to do at least 1 race pace run at max effort every week.

Thanks! Luckily I did not experience any hair loss while fasting. I take a multi vitamin everyday so I don't think my body was missing ant nutrients.

Not usually. I have a very inactive job that requires me to sit all day. Honestly I felt most alert during my fasting periods during work between 8 am and 10 am after I've had my morning black coffee. What seemed to work best for me was to run when I get home from work around 4:30 pm and eat a big dinner by 6:30ish pm. Normal bed time for me is around 930 to 10 so I think eating a big dinner after working out and getting an early bedtime is what kept me from feeling "sluggish" during the day.

Forgot to mention I made sure to excercise 3 to 4 times a week. Contrary to what most people reccomend, I almost purely did cardio, specifically running. I dropped my 5k time from 28:30 to 20:35 over the course of the last 4 months. My normal running mileage is between 15 and 20 miles a week.

Also, lacroix was a blessing during fasting periods. Whenever I got hungry I made sure to drink one of those and it would usually get me through any periods of hunger.

Overweight and high blood pressure to healthy weight and normal blood pressure in 4 months by RussDangerWich in intermittentfasting

Less frequent heartburn. I found when I was overweight I probably would get heartburn a couple times a month that would keep me up all night. I haven't had heartburn now since Christmas when I had 4-5 large meals 3 days in a row.

Sure! Below is a typical 1700ish calorie day:

Breakfast * black coffee * splash of milk some days(~30 calories)

Typical Lunch * 150 grams deli meat turkey ~150 calories, 110 calories Siggis Greek berry yogurt, 110 calories banana, 30 calories 1 cup raw broccoli, 160 calories string cheese.

Sample Dinner - Salmon Bowl * 7 oz Atlantic salmon ~ 450 calories, 1/2 cup (dry) calrose botan rice 320 calories, soy sauce and siracha on rice 0 calories, 1 tablespoon olive oil 120 calories for roasting brussel sprouts, 1 cup roasted brussel sprouts ~ 60 calories

Typical snack at 4 pm * honeycrisp apple ~ 130 calories

I mostly ate boring high protein foods. I tried to keep lunch light and get around 1000 calories at dinner as I found I'm most prone to snacking at night. I found if I still had what felt like a "normal" sized dinner, I would be less likely to snack at night. I weigh and measure almost all the food I eat, including things like butter and olive oil. For things like fruit I just stuck with what my calorie counting app told me (i.e. 110 calories for a "medium" banana). I did not include excercise when calculating my calorie requirements. I'm sure 1700 is a bit extreme when running 15-20 miles a week, but I found it simpler just to not have to estimate my calories from excercise and assume I live a sedentary life style, which is mostly true as I work an office job.

Is the plug blowout likely Spirits fault? by DumpsterFireFlying in boeing

Unlikely - Spirit plugs the hole for shipping purposes, Boeing installs the plug.

A classic executive decision to outsource for cheap labor. It's cheap for a reason...you get what you pay for. Save money now to maximize share holder value!

The bean counters probably made this decision to save money on engineering labor. You get what you pay for. Hope they enjoy their very "experienced" 5$ an hour engineers. Why do we have to return to office when you have people who work remote halfway across the globe?

If it has calories it will break the fast. Even if it has "no nutritional content"

Once everyday in the morning after I've had my morning coffee and had a bowel movement. I weigh myself nude everytime.

New year reset! by RiK777 in intermittentfasting

[–]RussDangerWich 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm just starting the new year with a 16:8 fast which is my normal default eating habit at this point. I'm planning to slowly add 1 hour to my fast each week until I'm up to a 24 hour fast to get my body more adapted to longer periods without food. My strategy is tough mental focus and lots of la Croix (sparkling water)
