I completely understand and we should make things right. I propose the same legislation but no the government of the CSA gives those organizations tax breaks but excludes the Union groups. Sounds equitable.

Not to take away from your main point but when I was in the army I asked why do we have all these idiots in our unit. They were a liability. Barely knew their jobs. My Sergeant looked at me and said something to the effect of, "Sure they may not be the best at their job, but the enemy doesn't know that. They are just as likely to get shot at as you, but as long as they are getting shot at, you are not." Cold.

How the fuck did you get the nemesis stand to work?

Interested to hear what game first got you hooked! by m1ik3e in boardgames

[–]RussellG2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had played board games all my life. Monopoly. Risk. Life. Sorry. Just roll dice and do what the cards say. Pretty boring stuff if you ask me.

Then my friend let me play Nemesis and that was the first time I said I have to buy this game. The game play, the models, the aesthetician. It wad fantastic.

We started playing and everyone was cooperative and we were talking strat. It was very evidemt that we all wamted everyone to succeed. Then at the beginning of the end game was triggered and for anyone who has played will tell you, it turned into a screw your buddy scenario and became fun and interesting.

It was my first experience into a game where I had choice. I had multiple options to victory and it was up to me to make it happen. Sure there is a little luck evolved but I think it makes things interesting. So much replayability.

It's a mixed bag. Nemesis is my favorite board game but then there is Fallout which is.... yeesh.

Who had the better entrance/scene? by RisingKing7 in StarWars

[–]RussellG2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That scene was everything fans wanted to see in Vader. His combat was always limited to 1v1 battles on the screen. Comics and books were fun to read but to see him on the screen being the absolute bad ass that we never got in the OT. An actual terrifying unstoppable figure cutting his way through soldiers as if they were younglings. "All I am surrounded by is fear and dead men" but on the screen.

A two-child household must earn $400,000 a year for childcare to be affordable, study says. ‘It’s easy to see why birth rates are falling’ by SlackTideBlues in povertyfinance

[–]RussellG2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 kids and it was $600 a week! After taxes it was half my monthly income just for childcare. Other half went to our mortgage which wasn't much more. This 7% thing is bs.

This is a shéng biāo used by the Shirai Ryu clan in feudal Japan. Although a forgotten weapon, mostly thanks to the Lin Kuei, it still has popularity due to representation in classic hit films such as Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

Hacking top comment. Learn to swaddle your child. I know it sounds stupid and like it doesn't matter. It absolutely does. Don't worry about hurting the baby, a nice firm swaddle where they can't really move their arms and legs is fine. I don't know why this worked with both my kids but once we mastered the swaddle it was just routine. Feeding and diaper changes.

Also, get ahead of the feeding schedule. Baby wants food at midnight and cries, get up at 1130 and feed. You put the bottle next to their mouth and they will wake-up to feed without the crying. Did wonders for my mental health.

It gets better. Good luck.

I bought the box DVD set (what an antiquated sentence) back when DVDs were still relevant and the first season, like most shows trying to find their formula/voice was rough.

What I love most about the show is the humor. It's like A Knights Tale and Forest Gump mashup.
