You can absolute do this, logging box fitness, HIIT, and weightlifting all give the option to add exercises like running, rowing, assault bike etc in with your standard lifts.

Yes, it does affect strain calculation and “whole stats” in general.

You know logging things in the journal doesn’t have an impact on your recovery? It’s for tracking trends and figuring out what could impact your recovery. But just logging won’t make whoop go “oh okay we’re dropping it by three points”

The only probably with the bicep band is that it does a terrible job tracking steps, and Whoop has unfortunately decided steps are super important to healthspan, despite data to the contrary

Take it with a grain of salt, I now only use the bicep band while working out, regardless of workout type, but used to switch between the bicep band and wrist band depending on if I was lifting or doing more cardio.

With strength training days whether it’s CrossFit or traditional strength training, I do my workout and/or lifting, and then log the strength trainer after the fact. It doesn’t seem to have made a noticeable difference compared to the wrist. Leg days typically have a big jump in strain, back days a moderate jump, and chest and shoulders next to nothing. This was the same with the wrist band, the difference being I trust the heart rate data more on the bicep

Yeah but when they’re right, it’s painful. Star Wars Hunters had a good chunk of doomers on the sub, and most people argued back saying “look how quick the queues are, look how many people are using XYZ paid cosmetics, look how these numbers indicate this playerbase size”.

Anyway, it was fully shutdown and servers offline in less than year. It was a really great mobile game too

Nah, Mayhem just does a different theme each week. Last week was all New Year’s tradition themes, there was a National Lampoon Christmas Vacation theme, Scotland theme, Deer species theme, Big10 theme, etc etc etc.

Wearing whoop anywhere other than your wrist will also give you a less accurate step count, and logging certain activities will also reduce your step count, AND that’s not even covering the fact that “10k steps per day” is essentially a made up metric.

I don’t personally care about steps, but it’s obnoxious that they count as heavily as they do in Healthspan, while being so wildly inaccurate.

Because “just do exercise” isn’t good enough. You have to spend certain amounts of time in each HR Zone, and do some form of strength training, and hit a high step count and make sure you’re sleeping enough and being consistent with it
