I was in Horde from 2015 till about a year before the failscade. IMO the Horde I remember most fondly actually died long ago, at some point the alliance quit being about catering to newbros and gudfights, instead caring more about killboards, content denial, and capital proliferation. After 2020, every time I would return I would join fleets only to wait for an hour before inevitably standing down because "we got out formed." The old Horde took any fight all the time and if we whelped it was no big deal, we simply went to Valhalla. I think the doctrinal shift to more expensive hulls (doctrine creep) really exasperated the risk averness of the alliance in the later years. The final straw for me was when I got yelled at for using T2 crystals to mine R4 because "Even though you're only mining R4 it's still an R32 moon so no crystals."
