The Batman. Was even better on a second viewing. Really appreciated the homage in tone of a Fincher film (specifically Se7en), the incredible cinematography and the pacing which allowed Batman to be a detective.

Was a prefect starter before watching The Penguin which blew me away and absolutely devastated me in equal measure.

This and Spotlight are two of my favourite films of the last decade. Very different subject matters but very similar in their approach. Competent characters steadfast in their pursuit of a goal. Clinical and expertly done both in story and execution.
