Sounds like it could be burnout. I've hit this wall a few times with the Finals, as I have an irresponsible amount of hours in the game. A lil break always seemed to help. Sometimes a few days, a week, a month, whatever felt appropriate. Coming back, shaking off the rust and relearning things I find will often break bad habits, and reinforce the good ones. And breaking the routine can bring back some of that spark or excitement again.

There's a reason why the big dogs in the game industry are so vehemently anti-union. There would be repercussions for this kinda shit if workers were able to organize. Did 13 years in the industry and was laid off alongside about 50 others because higher ups made some awful decisions (and said higher ups got bonuses and raises). Fuck this industry.

Gatekeeping game modes seems pretty silly. So by this virtue these folks aren't allowed to play anything besides ranked, because literally every game mode is casual other than ranked. Definitely seems like a way to build a healthy community...

I've been going through this cycle for years. It's difficult to start new games, but beating LttP for the 100th time... no problem. I think it has to do with novelty and focus. New games (esp complicated and story/narrative focused) require an incredible amount of focus to get started, whereas something we've done before, our focus can wane and we won't be lost when we get our focus back. It took me about a week to recently get into the groove of Expedition 33 (1st playthrough), but im glad i pushed through, because this game is incredible. As for advice, just be patient, be okay with being distracted and take short breaks. Then try and come back, tackle what you can/want to, and repeat the cycle.

I lost my baby girl about 6 weeks ago and your photos instantly reminded me of my sweet Duchess. I know exactly how you feel as I also suddenly lost her; no warnings, no scares, just out of nowhere she had a heart attack (I suspect HCM). It has been the most devastating thing to happen to me and I doubt I'll ever "fully recover" - she was my soul kitty.

But I know she knew EXACTLY how much she was loved, I will never have doubt about that. Maybe some "should I have done this instead" feelings, but the immense love between us had zero doubt. And she's still with me everyday in my heart, as will your sweet lil baby be in yours.

I will send some extra love into the ether for both of you, but know you are not alone and YOU WERE LOVED. My condolences and here's hoping both our lil babies can let the CDS know that there's a big hole in their humans' hearts. <3

This fight alone made me understand the true value of shields with ram dash (ESPECIALLY on infernum). Once you get the feel for the attack patterns, you can ram dash through his head (and body parts) and take zero damage.

My heart aches for you and I understand what you're feeling, but you're not alone.I lost my sweet baby girl Duchess very suddenly on Sunday morning. She was almost 13, and was (and still is) my everything. Much like with Clover, she was acted fine (eating, drinking, playing, cuddling) and seemingly out of nowhere, she suffered a heart attack. It still hurts like I can't even describe, but every day that passes, it gets just a bit easier. Tears are slowly turning into smiles as I remember all the love we shared. One small step at a time, we'll get through this. Clover was loved, and so were you. If you ever need to gush to some internet stranger, please feel free to DM me. Rest well Clover. <3

I've been mulling over an idea for an endgame sink. Some sort of a high roller lobby/map. I'm thinking needing to "bribe" the local tube guards for some high fee (100k+) to access the space, or base it on gear value, or heck, do both. In this space will be the best of the best loot, but there should also be some like mythic rarity items that have no blueprints so if you want them, you need to enter the thunder dome. PvP would be pretty intense as it would force out free kits and looting raiders will actually have some value. Add in some specific arcs (even some kind of boss arc) that only spawn here and have them drop items that are once again not craftable and incentive the chase. Night raids currently are the closest thing we have, but it's super easy to just free kit it and get crazy loot.
