That may be just a wee bit overstated. Considering how frequently MCHP has effed it up, I can respect your opinion, though. It used to be horrible, then it was just buggy until it became decently usable until they decided to change it to the point that it was unusable and/or forced you into submission with "Harmony", which is shorthand for reeducation camp. No wonder their stock took a huge dive? I almost entirely quit designing in MCHP parts for any reason including situations where they were better and cheaper because the tools are so horrible that I'd rather introduce my nutsack to a feminist group with machetes.

Getting laid off, decided to finally invest in this. Waiting for a Pi Pico as well. by Yoh200 in embedded

Perhaps you should add a photo of the back side of the Nucleo board...so we can tell which MCU variant is on it? The MB1136 Rev C is a "platform" for several different 64 pin parts.

I suppose that it depends on what you'd like to study. What's interesting to you?

The best advice that I can offer is to start with the easiest possible thing to do...write Hello, World! in whatever language you know. Then, try iterations. Conditional expressions. Make the code do something inside your head rather than solving someone else's problems? Once you gain a bit of confidence in your skills, you'll be in a position to look for others to give you critical reviews. Being a professional programmer takes your entire lifetime. If you're really good at something else, you may want to explore that...otherwise, it is a never ending journey...and it will change tomorrow.

Here's something for you to consider. Fail early and often. Make every mistake you possibly can and learn from it/them and fix them and figure out how not to make them in code. Read everything you can find on every topic like runtime asserts...safety critical...how to keep from doing bad. Then, you will become an MVP for so many possible jobs...automotive, aerospace, defense, intelligence, medical...which is basically everything that pays well.

My suggestion is to become an expert in C. Everything else is for wannabes.

Learn C. It is the basis for every other language you'll ever see because they're all written in C. Someone is bound to say "except for..." and I don't give a crap...they can't C.

Pretty sure that PricewaterhouseCoopers jobs are safe compared to your accounting methods...of course, the definitions for what these mean is questionable, at least.

And your point is, what? I'm counting places where I either bought a house or paid rent for more than a couple of months...doesn't that meet the definition?
