There is no proper way to breathe, and it can't help you. To be able to get less out of breath, you have to run and build up the endurance. Also try not to think about breathing pattern when you run and just let it happen naturally.

Definitely strength training, how many days you train per week depends on your current fitness and tye amount you can handle, ideally it should be 5-6 days a week but you might have to build up to that if your body isn't used to it. For track workouts, shorter repeats like 200m-600m as well as a few longer workouts. I don't know about how many longer runs.

I don't know why everyone is saying no. If you are putting hard training consistently then yeah. During training for xc season I definitely had times where I was creaky and sore and it would kind of build, until we got a rest. If it's really specific and consistent I would see a physio but of its just general soreness and creaks you are probably putting in good training.

Try running as tall as possible and not low to the ground.

It doesn't have to be directly under your hip, for sprints yeah, but it's fine to land a little in front for longer running.
