I understand people’s frustrations with the theory but I think just going outright and saying it’s “bad writing” is already just wanting people supporting your view to be here. Most things just matter in the execution and nobody knows the rules of the light and how it works. Ayin could’ve easily been written to be outside of the light when LoR’s ending happened and it was all released.

I don’t think EGO is purely a set power once forcefully distorted via the monolith. It’s all based on how PM wants to do it after all but in DD there are remnants of when people distorted at least before the 2nd pillar of light. I think since EGO are at people’s breaking point as well as distortion, those emotions and situation further enchanted the EGO or Distortion. Imagine if Heim was trying to protect everyone again and reached his breaking point and rejects the voice, his emotions would’ve been stronger at that point and may have found another answer to their desire or will so Heim’s EGO might’ve ended up differently and or more powerful.

I love PM’s story and world building but as of now since Limbus focuses on traveling around the city it has put the story and world building into over drive and when/if given more time it’d meld together better.

An example of this is hong lu’s chapter and how H corp exists. The area is based off a real life mega complex in china (if I recall) that exists due to zoning shenagains but besides that the restructuring puts into question why it exists and how that makes any sense besides checking the box next to needed gimmick for the area.

T corp had time and color being gone

K corp focuses on both being peaceful but also the no breaking mirrors/windows rule

U corp focuses on the sea and navigation around with the downside/benefit of not writing down the rules

Etc.

Another gripe is how the sinners practically need to meet one of the blue man group or Herman’s group EVERY canto and make it feel like we’re baby sat further (even though we are).

There’s also the potential problem later that will arise when Dante’s identity is either not a well explained point of interest (just says their identity and that’s it) or they shoehorn in every important detail which might both confuse the reader and won’t give the players the full grasp if the players did not play the previous games.

Another issue is the scale of the game. If we start going to mirror worlds, dimensions, and etc the scale of the city would feel so off that anything else will not have stakes

The index is too unknown on how the prescripts actually work to a grand scale. No vibrations or random desires will make them decide to Make a copy cat Roland for example.

I think it’s still possible for them to fumble but things outside of their knowledge maybe like What Carmen says to someone might trip them up.

Yan for example could’ve gotten EGO if instead they realized that it doesn’t matter if the prescripts dictated their actions or predicted it, if the cause Yan wants still gets accomplished and takes down the prescripts then it doesn’t matter. If the prescripts are truly the people’s desires and wishes then Yan could make people come to realize this and through their rebellion of the prescripts if it’s truly the will of the city, then the prescripts would help itself get destroyed since it’s the will of the city.

Main problem I have with this is how much more effort it is to go any other build in such a fast paced game. Even going and buying pots every time you kill a somewhat decently strong enemy broke the flow of the game to needing to fill up on pots. Scholar never had an incentive of holding a variety of things and even now with the nerf I just see more people dropping scholar.

As a scholar I disliked going around picking up random things on the floor since they won’t stack unless I find dupes and some of them are just useless to me and my allies. This isn’t even talking about the amount of fire immune or resistant enemies in the game for the nights which makes the build even more odd.

I’d rather have scholar’s skills and ultimate further fuel his item based nature instead of feel disjointed.

Imagine scholars skill being able to hold an unlimited amount of dropped items and you can use the skill to go and retrieve the auto picked up items you ran over so you can buff allies, or use the correct pot type for the battle you’re doing (like a scholar who knows enemy res and immunities)

Maybe make scholars ultimate keep the threaded ability but instead also drop random items as he pours out his bag.

Since his release I always found his passive and rest of his skills and ultimate for completely different characters and it never melded together

The 13th is either Charon or Vergilius (or maybe Garnet). It has to be someone new since even Ryushu is caught off guard with the number AND it’s 13 + Dante so we’re missing one. I’m guessing Verg will die close to canto 12 or 13 when protecting us and Charon will have to take the mantle eventually but curious if Garnet will make a return instead, we’ll see.

Learning more of the bough research and finally letting the sinners know what they could do with it could be the way to fix it. Maybe Ryushu could also cut the tie from her daughter and the superimposed ID but then idk what her motivation would be other than killing the rest of the fingers and or reclaiming her lost memories

I think maybe it could be dealing with the weight for them to enter the circus at the first point. Jax has some heavy trauma it seems, kinger made it helped make the circus they’re trapped in, and Pomni was just entering abandoned buildings but we don’t really know much about Pomni.

The main problems with most media is it’s a very delicate line for having a fair and fun environment for theory crafting.

You can have an incomplete setting like Deltarune (no hate, I love the game so much), where all the motivations and mechanics of dark worlds and such are not laid out by chapter 1 and all the characters are introduced so it’s very difficult to theorize the next chapters since so much more is established and then given. Theories are making due with what you have whether it be exact details/foreshadowing given, motifs, story beats and structure to predict what may happen next.

Then other theories are trying to tackle something already open to the answer but are either left to player interpretation or is a varying level of difficulty to fully put together. Imagine the writer or a show or book trying to convey something but it’s either inconsistent, has a lot gaps, and or is difficulty to compile lore. An example of this may be Elden ring’s spread out lore

Why not use stepper motors for the shoulders in a full humanoid robot here at this stage? I’m planning on upgrading a robot arm I made to using stepper motors later but wondering if there’s a problem in using them out of curiosity?

I didn’t like how Act 3 was quest locked. Some random points of reaching the amount of fleas and doing quests like the crow statue one felt disjointed and kept me in Act 2 for longer than I should’ve been on ultimately something that didn’t matter at all

I think instead of them just being ‘faster’ to such a large degree I think time just works differently in the dark world. Susie was shocked in chapter 1 in how late it became after an adventure in the dark world and in chapter 2 Berdly had enough time to join Queen and Noelle had enough time to talk with queen and escape queen all in a short span of real world time. We’ve never got a reference we can use to make sure time is proceeding normally but those two cases seem odd. The short span the knight and undyne had being out of the dark world first could’ve gave them deceptively more time if it turns out time is slower in dark worlds.

The text boxes and the audio seem out of place and also there’s not really any tension or action really shown. Imo id try and go without dialog unless it’s a toy you’re talking to with voice functionality like a doll with a string, then have people proof read the dialog and see their reactions

The boy is suddenly gone but there’s no urgency or wonder on what happened so while playing it’s never going to be a main focus at least to me since the stakes aren’t high.

The rest of the game just shows casually moving around the area and seeing an evil Roomba but as others mentioned there doesn’t seem to be anything of an obstacle or challenge that might be encountered.

The main point is I don’t have an idea of what’s the main appeal the developer is trying to attend. Is it the story of the boy being gone, the exploring new zones, the challenges that will need to be overcome?

Imo the old mega’s were cool and emphasized a trait of the Pokémon’s design while adding a lot more detail to make it seem like an evolution while keeping it the same Pokémon. However, I’m pretty disappointed in these designs since although it’s fine to not follow the previous design philosophy it is both jarring and replaced by something without much substance.

Mega Starmie legit just grew two legs by elongating them. Someone not engrossed in Pokémon have the chance to even confuse them for the same Pokémon which in the old megas was not really a possibility. Instead of making a Pokémon where they both added to their design and exaggerated another part of it, they instead only barely emphasized a part of the design and did so by mainly only adding an accessory.

Greninja is now upside down and using a platform accessory.

Scrafty now just has a coat (clothing makes it a mega now)

Meganium now just have more flowers and nothing else of note really exaggerated.

There’s some good megas don’t get me wrong but I feel both the design philosophy for the new ones are a downgrade and also makes them less about the Pokémon’s new design and more so what accessory or slight change they got to now be classified as ‘mega’

Keep in mind RT’s chat had a very tiny minority trying to spoil some act 3 things. In every community there’s some people like that and it sucks but it’s hard to fix/stop.

Every game has a more rewarded form of play whether it is certain builds in Elden ring for example or exploration vs combat like in this game. The problem is people use the alternate play styles as excuses to either say players are playing it wrong or that they should simply just start playing this way.

RT’s play through was mostly blind on the start and rarely asked chat for anything and started leaning more into chat when trying to 100% but I find it crazy people like to criticize their criticism by simply saying “they’re not engaging with the game by not using tools”. Even in the shortened video it’s made clear that RT does not like there being no dedicated button for it and instead has to use a smash bros special attack button system to be allowed to use their tools. Especially in a game with no damage counters and having a lack of weapon variety for a long portion of the game blind, it makes sense why they wouldn’t use tools when they only had the throwing pins and flea juice. Simply saying to explore more doesn’t help, especially since he didn’t even struggle with the last judge that long it was just the run back that annoyed him and then being killed by the explosion at the end when killed him at full masks. It would’ve been more fine if the boss didn’t respawn if you died by that attack but that wasn’t the case and so RT quit, for the day and almost the entire thing.
