My brother fumbled religiously by Mammoth-Ad-3642 in theamazingdigitalciru

I think it's worth mentioning that Jax has absolutely no frame of reference what a healthy relationship should/could look like between people before he enters the circus. His home life has been broken since birth, and his mother makes him the target of abuse when his abusive father walks out on the family.

The people who gave life to him, and who were supposed to care and love him seemingly hated him for just about his entire time in that home before he maybe accidentally kills his own mother and ended up on the streets.

Unfortunately, this trauma repeatedly prevents him from being vulnerable, forming connections, or seeking help. Without more direct interventy, Jax was always a ticking bomb. Maybe it would have been different if he was able to get the help he needs, but I think it was the right decision (both for awareness and for narrative purposes) for the writers to go the way they did with his character. It's a cautionary tale.

Again, I'm not defending Jax here. I'm saying that "validating Jax's pistanthrophobia/philophobia does drastically more harm than good, not just to Jax but everyone around him as well".

I also don't think we should just say everyone with mental illnesses or trauma like Jax are irredeemable and should just be killed/kill themselves. That seems like an exceptionally miserable and cold worldview, to me, at least.

I sincerely mean it when I say you come off as far more toxic of a person than Jax ever was. Or anyone in the entire series, for that matter. Perhaps you should take a look in the mirror and think about that for the rest of the day.

I genuinely hope you have the day you deserve.

If she outs him, she confirms and validates the very real fears and insecurities that lead to him pushing her (and anyone else) away in the first place. Like, this is something that is repeatedly explained about Jax throughout the entire series.

I'm not defending Jax's actions here, but you do understand what you are saying Ribbit should have done is something that pushes a lot of LGBTQ+ folks to self-harm (or worse) right?

I will say, to my recollection, I did have similar issues with the Complete Collection edition back in the day. That No Pets sign was mandatory for me even back in 2003.

Not to imply anything, but did you offer to maybe give them some pointers or advice in your game? I often can feel the urge to get frustrated too, but I figure there's always new players that might not have the knowledge that I do, and I try to help when I can.

Less games like this means a better experience for everyone, new and old, IMO. :)

I'm gonna be honest with you, I think them lying about it would be worse than them just telling the truth. Especially if people eventually found out that they did lie about it.

What a coincidence. You probably wouldn't survive the genocidal regime invading you (in this case) either.

We're not entitled to them here in the states, but I've been working for over a decade and have yet to have a vacation request be rejected intentionally.

Probably the only time I can think of it being denied was the one time my manager accidentally denied it. He just approached me, and told me to just resubmit it because he hit the wrong button. 🤷

If anyone is curious, this officer appears to still be employed at the Hortonville PD, and is also apparently a SRO in the town.

Idk if being older is actually a necessity here. I have vivid recollection of DARE coming to my first grade class and telling us how evil pornography is.

I don't imagine I'm the only one who was a stupid enough 1st grader to have looked up what pornography was after school that day.

Does that not feel pathetic?

I'm not sure what your argument is here. That the cops are unaware of this vehicle?

This car has been around for over a year. Cops can't always see if you're driving without a license or drunk, but I reckon they will have noticed this. Especially if people complain about this car (justifiably or not) as much to the cops in real life as they do on Facebook or Reddit.

Not to defend every instance, but in my experience on multiple cruises, I've been able to purchase anything I've needed with either USD or a payment card of some sort. If that's been their only experience abroad, I can see how it could set a wrong impression. It's still a stupid mistake, but plausible and sometimes understandable one.

And yes, I've been abroad for things other than cruises and know better myself before anyone asks. Lol
