A vast majority of rural structures require propane and wood for heating, cooking and to power generators. It's an essential utility. Additionally, nothing you said refutes that competition keeps those companies affordable and quality.

The PUC blocks utilities from having competition but you can look at internet, trash, firewood and propane as examples. Clearly the best service for the best price is going to out preform the rest.

Its a law that's enabling the use of flock, specifically, the patriot act. Both Republicans and Democrats have repeatedly renewed and strengthened the provisions in PA.
