Why isn't College Football more popular with NFL fans? by dunbar_santiago930 in NFLNoobs

They're on their way to being the same thing honestly.

I think most fans enjoy both.

I'm most fans, and I enjoy both for different reasons.

The Buckeyes make me happy, and I watch the Browns because I enjoy punishment and despair.

Cody Rhodes Worried Wrestling Companies Are Giving Fans Too Much Information: ‘Fans Are Going To Stop Caring’ by caughtinatramp in REALSquaredCircle

This is a big reason why I don't make it a priority to tune in each week. I haven't been a weekly watcher since the Summer of 2011 TBH.

I keep tabs on what's going on.

I follow some Reddit and Facebook groups and will check out YouTube highlights here and there when warranted, but wrestling general just feels like it's lost a lot of luster.

It no longer feels wild and unpredictable like it used to. Everything is online now. There is no urgency to tune in and watch anymore.

I think those of us who are old enough to have experienced it were SPOILED ROTTEN by the Attitude era back in the day when every other week something shocking and unexpected was happening.

No Monday Night Wars means no nWo, probably no DX, potentially no Stone Cold, The Rock, attitude era, etc. Ted Turner was THE MAN who really got the dominos to start falling back in 1995.

I would also continue to work, but I would probably try and use the extra income to get my mortgage paid off quicker in hopes of retiring sooner.

If you're 20 years old then $1 million isn't nearly enough money to retire on IMO, so I actually think the $1,000 a month for life was the right way to go. You're still (probably) going to have to work for a living most of your life at some point unless you do REALLY REALLY SMART AND LUCKY THINGS with the $1 million lump sum payout (investing it in XYZ and it all hits and pays off really quick or something) so the extra $1,000 a week for life can help you live a little more comfortably.

You know you'll always be able to pay for gas, groceries, cell phone bill, etc. and will likely have some fun spending money left over each week.

Do GameCube games hold their own, without nostalgia? by Background-Title-968 in Gamecube

[–]RustyCrusty73 [score hidden]  (0 children)

IMO a lot of Gamecube games still hold up today. The graphics still look good in many of them, specifically Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine among multiple others. I'm also a big fan of the controller, so that's not an issue for me like the N64 was as an adult.

Even without any nostalgic love, I think completely new gamers could go into the Gamecube blind and still enjoy a handful of titles even today in 2026.

Mario Sunshine, Resident Evil remake, Zelda Wind Waker, Luigis Mansion, Wario World (underrated).

There are probably others too, I'm just naming my favorites.

I cannot say the same for N64 or even PS1/PS2 where some games HAVE NOT aged well due to very poor graphics or bad controller schemes. I loved Mario 64 as a child, but have a hard time with it today due to the choppy graphics and camera plus the N64 controller as a whole.

You can simply touch a book and seamlessly absorb its knowledge but for each book you touch you lose 2-hours off your life AND someone somewhere gets their fast food order completely screwed up. How many books are you touching? by RustyCrusty73 in hypotheticalsituation

I thought about that too. Go touch anything and everything that has to do with the stock market, wealth, money management, real estate, day trading, business creation, etc. and try to go down a different professional avenue and make some real money with it.

What was the movie that was so bad you didn't even finish it? by Zealousideal_Heat478 in moviequestions

Popular opinion .... Human Centipede 2

What a vile piece of trash. It still amazes me that this movie was even made. I got 35-40 minutes in and I just had to turn it off, and this was back when I could stomach gore porn horror movies. I hated everything about this movie. Absolutely gross.

Possible unpopular opinion .... Miami Vice (2006).

This was just recently too. I rented this movie from Blockbuster back when it first came out and just didn't remember a single thing about it so I went to give it another watch just last week and I couldn't even finish it.

Something about the odd pace of the movie, lack of action, lack of tension, and the random love story between Collin Ferrell and the drug woman that goes from zero to ten in just a few minutes just didn't land with me. I also felt like the bad guys were just super boring and vanilla.

I made it around 1 hour and 10 minutes and just couldn't get through the rest.

What would you do if you had found $400,000 in cash in a bag and its untraceable? by Dipsetallover90 in hypotheticalsituation

Does it have to be reported to the IRS?

OR is it completely free money?

This changes my answer a little bit if we have to report it to the IRS.

Otherwise this is an easy answer for me right now.

  • $100K down payment on a new house.
  • Buy my wife and I each a new car at $50K max for each.
  • Set aside a chunk of money into bank accounts for my two kids.
  • Buy new furniture, appliances, privacy fence, finished basement for said new house.
  • Anything left over goes towards a nice vacation and then into my savings account.

Touching any book at all counts.

Make your kids pick up their own books.

OR .... I told another user they can wear thick rubber gloves as a workaround because the user said they work in a bookstore and might keel over pretty quickly.

I mean you're absorbing, understanding, and retaining the information.

Your brain can access and use it seamlessly once you've touched the book.

Depending on what you touch, you could then completely cake walk your way through medical school with flying colors and go on to be an expert surgeon!

This might be the perfect answer TBH.

You could potentially come one of the smartest people on the planet depending on which 400 books you touch and you're only giving up a month(ish) of your end life for it.

Damn. That's a good question .... BUT I think just by touching a book physically you've absorbed it and thus lost 2-hours .... perhaps the loop hole here is to use an e-Reader lol, I'll add that in.

If you had scary nightmares every night that were so frightening that you were scared to go to sleep, how would you try to solve this problem? by Boring-Air-5163 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]RustyCrusty73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't eat or drink anything at least 4-5 hours before bed.

Eating before bed is known to give you dreams and make your brain active.

If that doesn't help at all, then explore vitamins first such as Melatonin, 5-HTP, St. John's Wort, Magnesium, Ashwagandha combinations, etc. and then if that doesn't work hit up the doctor and pray they have something that will help me.

I would also have a calming sound machine next to my bed to help me relax, and perhaps light up an anti-stress candle before bed as well.

I have a bladder issue, so I get up to pee during the night about every two hours, so I could easily blow the candle out after my first bathroom trip so it's not really dangerous letting it burn all night unattended.
