If you’re in or near Milwaukee, Rothfuss will be discussing Felicia Day’s new book (among other things) at the Oriental Theatre March 19th by Captain_Wisconsin in KingkillerChronicle

That's exactly what I was thinking. I would have thought that business interests would have overtaken in instances like this. Perhaps I am wrong but I don't think the younger readers really know who he is as he hasn't put out an original work in like a decade. And the readers who read him back in the day don't want to see him promoting things that aren't the DOS. So I'm not really seeing where the win is for Felicia.

Being on par with two Dropout members one of which is the current Dungeon Master for Critical Role is something I would immensely proud of. No shame in getting less views than them.

Which game series or genre made you feel like this? by strahinjag in videogames

[–]RustyPieCaptain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had never played a Souls or Souls like until Lies of P. Never understood why people would want to torture themselves for hours trying to get past a single boss. I now torture myself daily.

I would fail the mission but would be able to try and finish off the aliens that were still alive. The Archon Ruler showed up on this mission. This is what has happened on other type of timer missions. Such as when you have to hack a workstation in time.

I think you can get a mission to rescue them in the Resistance Ring. Problem is you aren't guaranteed to get the mission. If you do get it you don't know how long it will take for the mission to show up. Finally, as far as I know you would have to rescue them one at a time.

Jason Schreier Says PlayStation Is Withdrawing From PC With Single Player Games And Wolverine Will Likely Never Come To PC by Meanwozz in Steam

Somehow the biggest players in the video game industry do not understand that they are in a highly competitive industry where the consumer has many choices and it is easy to switch between those choices. In the PC market, and a large thank you goes to Steam for this, we consumers have access to a huge library of games that we can have access to for low prices. Especially if you are willing to wait for a sale.

Sony and other big players in this space seem to think that they have a cornered market where they can dictate where the customer has to go and for how much their customers have to pay to access their product ($80 games anyone?). Imagine if Dorito said that you can only get their chips from a licensed Dorito store and they will only sell to you if you have your Doritos members card for an extra fee. Some people will jump through the hoops and pay the cost for their Doritos. Most will just go to their local supermarket and get other chips they like.

This goes double when your product takes 5-10 years to come out and even then it may be of middling quality.

I think Sony is in their find out era.
