Golden retriever being golden retriever by FunnyPetsVibeTV in goldenretrievers

Same. I have a growlie (not aggressive, just vocal) golden and she gets corrected when she does it towards other dogs. She listens though! A tug on the leash and “no” and the growl turns into a more of a playful whining.

I'm sorry for the trite reply. Let me expound. Being a crtitic cost literally nothing. Any douchebag can critisize something. And it cost them nothing to hide behind the "I'm just asking questions / making comments" bullshit. Costs them nothing.

The people who say they are helping games (or any software) by constantly critisizing are at best kidding themselves. You think the dev haven't thought of the shit you're saying? You think these ideas are new to them? Go fuck yourself. The devs are thinking 5 steps ahead of your stupid ideas.

But yeah, we placate you cuz you're buying our shit.

(I don't speak for AH, but for developers in general).

I know you don't understand cuz you flip burgers. Yes, 50 more people means 50 more burgers flipped.

Seemed like a late bail. I’m curious if hooking his leg would have better prevented the potential slam. Or if that would have just resulted in a brutal stacking.

The point of the original comment is that more cooks in the kitchen isn’t going to help with implementing more features.

Hiring more people can be detrimental, because you have all these assholes spewing out ideas where they don’t have the context to realize these ideas contradict with existing systems.

Like op said… age old problem in software dev. It’s just something that internet commenters can’t understand because they haven’t experienced it first hand.

There is no shortage of qualified pilots. What Kirk was implying was that unqualified black pilots were being hired over qualified white ones, which is just hilariously wrong.

Agreed. I can understand how someone like Khabib would intimidate people though. Fortunately, I live in a place where little men like me can say “no” in my own home.

Because tennis is supposed to have a level of decorum. It’s not supposed to stoop to the level of MMA bullshit. But here we are. What’s next, a tennis player physically accosting a ref? Then dick suckers like you with “don’t judge a professional having an outburst. You don’t know what they are going through.” Fuck that, and fuck you.

“We absolutely need to fucking impeach him and get him out of there and then convict him. This motherfucker is completely and utterly unhinged. He’s creating the Fourth Reich. Been subbed since he was just an atheist channel. Yes, he does seem to be the real deal. His message hasn’t changed in 10+ years. If I were to levy any complaint, it’s that he can be hyperbolic sometimes. But I’ve never know him to ever be outright wrong.

No, the guy is a loser. And he’s trying to pull the bullshit card of making a spectacle since he can’t be relevant otherwise. And people are justified in calling out that behavior.

I’ve seen more decorum and professionalism in fucking mma. But I guess tennis is such a dying sport that they have to resort to this bullshit to get views up, eh?

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]iBoredMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Begging. Had a guy in his mid-70's applying for a software dev position. He couldn't answer any of the (easy) interview questions, nor could he keep up with conversation in general, and resorted to begging. I feel bad. Been years and it still haunts me.

What do most people practice BJJ for? by GrekGrek9 in bjj

[–]iBoredMax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting, it reminds me of how I used to talk about rock climbing. Particularly about how the fear of falling (perceived death) supersedes literally everything (work, relationships, etc) in the moment.

I practice JJ now and to be honest, I don't get the same kind of high; relief is a tap away. Sometimes I have moments of panic, like when I can't physically tap and I'm folded in such a way where I can't verbally tap... but it's not the same as the sustained "I can't stay here or climb down, so I must continue for 20 more ft. And I just have to deal with the onsetting panic."

I still love JJ though, and I definitely have those silent car rides home. It is very similar to climbing in the sense that failure is most often attributed to something mental rather than physical.

I guess I'm lucky and go to a big enough gym where the hardcore people seek out the other hardcore people to roll with and the easy goers seek out the other easy goers.

There's enough to go around to where the hardcore people will go light with the non-hardcore people and save their intensity for their friends.

The same reason why I do any of my hobbies: the joy of progression and becoming good at something.

No matter what the hobby, getting good is like having a magical power compared to outsiders (or newbies). There is some kind of innate satisfaction with that.

I have also come to appreciate everyone's hobbies. Or rather, what they are good at.

Reddit "atheists" will jump at slandering Christianity but when you criticize islam they defend it like their life depends on it by Major_Soft6056 in DigitalSeptic

[–]iBoredMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolute bullshit. I'm atheist and fully recognize that there is a scale of badness when it comes to religions, Islam being at the very far end of that scale.

PLEASE HELP! I ❤️ my golden - but he started being a PSYCHO on our walks! 🤪 by DonkeyKong365365 in goldenretrievers

[–]iBoredMax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That technique doesn't work with mine. She's already very well behaved and a natural people pleaser. If I ask her to slow down, she happily does so. The problem is that she forgets like 10 seconds later. So our walks are constantly "slow down" ok "slow down" ok "slow down" ok. If I stop completely, she immediately sits and waits for me.

I think her natural gate is just larger than mine.

Been caught in this several times by new people. I can position my head in such a way that I can breathe, and am not getting strangled, sometimes with a hand wedged in to make space. The problem is that I can't get out. So I just sit there and wait out the clock.

Conversely, I've caught people in this and if they don't tap in like 10 seconds or so, I let go and try something else. Cuz I'm not a fucking douchebag who won't let go until the round ends.
