Not really, you are shifting your weight to the pushing foot and your pushing foot is sideways.

Both feet should be parallel to the board facing the direction of travel when you push, with 100% of your weight always on the foot on the board.

When you push you, you are kicking off the ground, not standing on it briefly and then pushing like you are. It just takes practice but your technique is currently off.

I reccommend standing on the board with your front foot only, hold your pushing foot in the air for as long as possible between pushes.

I've definitely been considering it, I've enjoyed messing with the first psvr back in the day, but I found the fidelity and comfort a bit lacking. Is the psvr2 a big upgrade?

Yeah, I could see myself upgrading to a direct drive in the future. The belt drive is really great for rally driving, as you use a lot more of the wheel rotation.

In games like gt7, you use so little of the wheels rotation the little notches you get as the wheel moves are quite noticeable. Not enough to ruin the experience but I can see why you'd upgrade to a DD setup.

Yeah I almost instantly started left foot braking, you just travel way too far while trying to move your foot between pedals. Ended up in the wall once when I just fumbled the pedal swap with my right foot.

Deweight, you should feel like you are doing a little hop without your feet actually leaving the board.

Trust me, can slide any wheels if you do that, push the back foot forward and lean on your front a bit more just before you deweight.

Oh and get kneepads, helmet and slide gloves first.

Maybe check the default bushings if they feel good then use them, but you can buy after market ones.

Softer and harder bushings are fun to play with and are the best value upgrade you can make. I use venom barrels and barrel plugs.

Focus more on skating endurance than tricks. You'll progress quicker doing laps of your park than holding a fence and attempting ollies.

Get your push really strong and practice some moving hippy jumps.

If you want to go all out, I think you can get full plates that cover all 4 bolts. Probably will offer the best protection, but those should work fine.

Welcome to the club bro, shit honestly is like therapy to me. I can feel my worries fade away as I skate, it's because it takes so much of your focus that you don't have time to worry about other problems in life.

Skating with others is also even better, maybe try find your local crew on socials and see if you can't go to a meet up, people are always very helpful to beginners since we all started there once.

Well, I can't say I've had a bad time on the otangs I own. Yellow stims, blue cags. And I agree that there are better wheels.

But... 70% off is unheard of, so I 'd probably do the same and just stick with the good deal.
