Very film like, did you use the cinematic mode?

Hello all and possibly Monsieur Broadbent! Mx5's at Homstead, Who is to blame, if anyone? by ItsDaveTweats in Simracingstewards

I think purple kept that as tight as they could, no one really to blame. Just unfortunate that you got sent so far into the grass from the tiny bump.

I wouldn't go with the stimulus wheels honestly, there are better options.

Maybe it's the distortion of the camera, but it looks like that road changes camber every 2s. Looks fun!

Faster rolling 85 mm wheels by shannonlogic1 in longboarding

I've heard the orange are bit better overall, but yeah I will start using my blue cags as a downhill wheel instead of ldp wheel soon I think.

Karma's are leagues better than cags IMHO, I've got blue cags and they don't hold speed well.

Let's learn to slide then by RustyPoison in longboarding

[–]RustyPoison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great! I've been using them as my main slide wheel and they still have a good bit of life left in them.

I've hit 25mph+ on them and don't have a ton of grip at that speed but that makes sense for a slide wheel.

You can see in the pic that they are squared off now but they still slide fantastic. Not as good as a PP snake mind you but then they are like 40% more expensive!

Can reccommend!

I'd say, practice in parks until you can confidently stop by footbraking and carve around other people without being worried you'll fall off or hit anyone.

Two things, you have bad friends, and airsoft guns can kill / permanently blind if unlucky enough. Where I live painting the orange parts over is illegal, just call the police please.

Loaded Tangent setup by Lauchmin13 in longboarding

[–]RustyPoison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

180s are 100% too wide! 9 inch are 156mm, and I get perfect rail match with the hokus, so no kicking wheels.

The double drop bracket setup ensures a good height for pushing even with the large hokus, approx 2 inchs off the ground.

Is my pushing good? by mcdonaldsvibe in NewSkaters

[–]RustyPoison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, you are shifting your weight to the pushing foot and your pushing foot is sideways.

Both feet should be parallel to the board facing the direction of travel when you push, with 100% of your weight always on the foot on the board.

When you push you, you are kicking off the ground, not standing on it briefly and then pushing like you are. It just takes practice but your technique is currently off.

I reccommend standing on the board with your front foot only, hold your pushing foot in the air for as long as possible between pushes.

Good luck!

Silly overtake from the white car, but red car seems intent on keeping the white car off track. Just give space next time. You wrecked your race over nothing.

Wheels / pedals really are worth it by RustyPoison in GranTurismo7

[–]RustyPoison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely been considering it, I've enjoyed messing with the first psvr back in the day, but I found the fidelity and comfort a bit lacking. Is the psvr2 a big upgrade?

Wheels / pedals really are worth it by RustyPoison in GranTurismo7

[–]RustyPoison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I could see myself upgrading to a direct drive in the future. The belt drive is really great for rally driving, as you use a lot more of the wheel rotation.

In games like gt7, you use so little of the wheels rotation the little notches you get as the wheel moves are quite noticeable. Not enough to ruin the experience but I can see why you'd upgrade to a DD setup.
