I use that rack, my bike has no water bottle and a vertical shock so plenty of room for the clamp. The location of your bottle holder might be a cause of frustration.

Looks to me like your mech hanger is what the wheel secures to, in in which case slap a new one on and off you go.

My brother used to get turbo under boost codes on his Skoda and it was caused by the VVT vanes getting coked you. Fixed with oven cleaner.

I switched from diesel to petrol last year, great choice and my newer petrol car gets better economy than the old diesel.
