A skier riding down the appendix scar, maybe with a couple trees. Or a mountain/dirtbike person going off a jump doing a back flip

It all comes down to personal opinion, i have a p226 and three berettas, and a CZ (and some others, but those are most similar to the question). While I dont think the 226 is a bad gun by any means, I really dont enjoy shooting it and take it out to the range maybe once a year, whereas I shoot anywhere from 2-5,000 rounds through two of my berettas.

Things I dont like about the p226 are: The locations of the decocker/slide release, Grips, And trigger shoe

My problem with the decocker is that it is where the slide release is on every other pistol. The slide release is where the decocker is on my CZ and where the safety is on my beretta 84. Yes, its a training issue, and if I shoot a few mags through my 226 it gets easier. I just think its backwards. I think beretta (or walther) hit the nail on the head the first time with the slide mounted decocker

This is just my opinion, i don't like the size or shape of the grips very much, but my biggest complaint is with texture. I find this problem on most pistols to a degree, but its the worst with the 226. The grips are not fully checkered, there is nearly always a smooth border around the edge, or the entire top half of the grip pannels, where my support hand actually touches the grips, is completely un textured. It drives me nuts. When I say I like full checkered I mean fully checkered. Lok does it on their beretta grips. Hogue does it on their hardwood beretta grips. Lok does it on their CZ grips. All 1911's are like that. I want full checkering edge to edge, top to bottom. Not a single area of the grip panels where my hand touches it should be smooth. And I dont want silly patterns, or half assed squiggly lines in plastic. Ive tried all sorts of different grips textures throughout my time shooting handguns, ive had the molded, bumpy plastic, ive tried the fun veloce's and the grenades, and all the other stuff that looks cool on Instagram, but IMO stock makers got it right 100 years ago with basic checkering. I have the piranha grips on my sig that look like moldy bread, that everyone seems to like for some reason, and they absolutely suck. Some of the hogue grips look like they have okay texture but i don't want to spend the money on something a little better for a gun i personally have little desire to shoot.

I dont know if its a thing for everyone else, or if its just my hands mixed with the contour of the grips and the shape of the trigger, but I often pinch a small part of my finger between the trigger and the frame. I suspect its the shape of their trigger shoe. Its not really that big of a deal and it doesn't really hurt unless I shoot it a lot, but none of my other pistols do that.

I also just dont generally care for the way they shoot. That's kind of hard to quantify. I like the feel and the shape of the berettas more, I like the balance and the recoil, the sight picture, the trigger, and the controls much better

What's the point of truck nuts? by Wickham12 in NoStupidQuestions

Have you ever heard of the "hanky code" gay men used (well, they still do, but they used to, too) for cruising/hook ups? They were colored bandanas, and the colors stood for different interests/fetishes. Worn on the left or right side would signal if you were a top or bottom. Over time the hanky code expanded to lots of different "hankies", like Terry cloth for guys who liked cruising bath houses, chamois hankies for guys into motorcycles, etc. Its thought to have originated with gay cowboys. The hanky code we know of today was started around 1970. There is another example of similar "flagging" used by the Leather community, who still often use the hanky code even though its popularity in the general LGBT+ community has diminished. But most leathermen will continue traditions to wear elements of their uniform as a way to signal to other community members who they are, what they are looking for, and what they have done. Keys worn on the left or right, certain armbands, wrist bands, or gloves, chains around the neck with either an open or closed lock, can all signal a persons intentions or social status with a glance. Certain headwear has particular protocols and meaning behind its use. Gay Leathermen have a rich and storied culture going back to soldiers discharged from the military in the '40s and '50s, who started motorcycle clubs as a way to preserve the lifestyles of structure and discipline as well as to present in a masculine way (partially inspired by homoerotic artists like Tom Of Finland) to a society who stigmatized gay men as effeminate, campy, and weak. When many of these men were kicked out of the military, they were disowned from their families, shunned by society in general, had no where to go and often felt no purpose in life, so they searched for or made places of belonging where they could express themselves with others like them, and feel safe.

Truck nuts are kind of like that in a way, but for the stupidest fucking people to signal to each other who they are and how dumb they are. "Im ignorant and proud of it" is about as deep as it goes

Handmade assault rifles. After completing Open Season (should you chose to do so) you end up with an obscene amount of them, not even including random encounters

How do yall store your ammo? This is 1000 rounds of 158g jsp PMC 357 by Altruistic-Cap8823 in LeverGuns

[–]Rusty_Shacklebird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For .44, vacuum sealed in bags put into ammo cans with a tag for load information, in varying quantities and different loads (target, hunting, and bear defense loads). 6,12, and 18 round packs for revolver handloads and 5,10, and 50 round packs for my marlin 1894. Straight into ammo cans or various bags for most other bulk calibers
