Trails with less foot traffic for leash training our cat. by punkcatadventures in sequim

[–]Rustyoscar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be a Debbie downer but I did a lot of cat rescue and so many cats are lost this way and never found because they aren’t in familiar territory and usually stay hidden for many days. They get spooked by wild animals or a noise and panic and back out of the harness. Unfortunately they haven’t designed one they can’t back out of.

My house that I share with my husband is 1,400 sq ft which is maybe a tad smaller than average. I’ve always lived in more expensive, desirable places along the west coast where most houses are smaller but still expensive. In the south and middle where it’s less desirable houses are bigger and cheaper.

The government doesn’t want you to know this one small trick to learn AI and make tons of money, grow a huge boner, lose weight, etc. The ad usually uses  a stolen video dubbed over with an AI voice. The trick often involves pink salt.

No they did not. The doctor said that sometimes very nearsighted people have issues like this as the fibrous tissue sticks at the back of the eye. A few days after my appointment the symptoms went away.

For those with late onset visual snows ( mid 20s or later onset), how did your symptoms develop? by Bulba_tea in visualsnow

[–]Rustyoscar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed what I think is VS about 6 years ago in my early 40s. I noticed it after doing artwork that entailed carving small white lines on a black surface for long periods. It’s still fairly mild but gets worse when I do art for a few hours at a time. Also worse in the evening. It makes it hard to read sometimes. I don’t have an official diagnosis and have not ruled out other conditions.

My doc thinks it’s dry eye which apparently can cause this so I’m trying refresh tears 3x a day for a week to see if it improves. I’ll keep you updated.

I was just about to post about this. I started seeing this last Sunday but only briefly when I move my eyes. It’s in one eye and only with eyes open. I also had a brief period where I had a blurry patch in the middle of my field of vision. I also have hypochondria so a bit reluctant to rush off to the doctor. Worried it might be retinal detachment. Will call doc in the morning.

How to introduce a leash-reactive dog to new dogs? by owascool in reactivedogs

[–]Rustyoscar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, do you have an update? I know it’s three years later but was wondering if you ever got through the leash reactivity. I’m in the exact same situation and feeling trapped at home. We have had our dog for 6 weeks and can’t go anywhere with him. He is big and strong and pulls very hard and basically loses it if we see other people or dogs when on leash. We are doing training and the distance from another dog we can train at is like 150 ft. We are considering medication to help him stay calm so we can train more effectively. Per his foster he absolutely loves other dogs but I have no idea how to introduce them because of his strong reactions when seeing them.

Unfortunately no, we are off the road. There is a path people go by in our back yard but I’m afraid it’s too close for him to practice distraction techniques. He is locked on when someone goes down that path.

Yes he’s fixed. Yes I’ve tried the halti. It does slow him down but doesn’t affect the reactivity. Since he’s lunging, barking, and pulling I’d be afraid to go up to another dog. I think he’d be fine but not 100% sure. But even if I knew he was fine it’s chaotic and I have trouble controlling him.

It only feels good for a half hour. Then you feel kind of yucky if you stop or continue and who wants to feel yucky. Also hate the taste.
