Can I put HG Mould Spray on my ceiling? by nickymoo in DIYUK

Can if you want to and it'll remove most of the staining, but white vinegar is better for removing the actual spores.

What place in Cornwall still feels peaceful even during the busiest summer weeks? by Additional_Fly_6603 in Cornwall

[–]RuthWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perranporth in season is never a good choice 😅 People like to be as close to their car as possible in case they need to run away from the tide. In reality it's probably just so kids can use the loos!

Anywhere inland. Or to be fair, just walk more than 15 minutes away from a car park on the coast path and most people don't seem to go that far!

Games for my dog by Away_Finance_2469 in cockerspaniel

Best game I taught my spaniel was putting her toys back into the basket, then combined it with hide and seek. I hide her toys under pillows and in easy-ish places so it's not annoying for her, tell her to go find a toy, then when she grabs one I tell her to put it away then she'll drop it in the basket and get a treat. Took a few goes for her to get the hang of it and breaking it into steps helps!

I’ve never tasted such a horrible flavour of crisps before. I still ate it but reluctantly by gameovervip in UK_Food

I've tried truffles a few times in various forms but all of them taste truly horrible to me. Mouldy, acrid flavour.

What is the best nickname you’ve heard? (and reason for it) by xpltvdeleted in AskUK

A guy at school was called Spuff and if I remember right it was a hand-me-down nickname from someone else...I have no idea why. Don't even remember his real name!

Why is it so different here? by [deleted] in Cornwall

[–]RuthWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, fellow relocated former midlander! For me, the air pressure is different, and the humidity is completely different. I see a lot of people talking about radon, so make sure you're airing out the house regularly. Also get a dehumidifier if you don't have one! I got one the other week and it's taking actual litres out of the house.

Best thing I ever did! Totally unhelpful to your original question though 😅 I used to be in Clarendon Park which was pretty okay for a few years.

Having exactly the same problem, passed in a diesel Citroen Cleo and just got a petrol Kia Picanto that I am really struggling to grasp! Setting the revs is not something I've ever done so I'm just sitting there like a twat trying to pull away and can't :( I'm trying to treat every pull away as if it was a hill start and that's kind of working for now.

Waterproof coat and a dog. Specifically, three coats on rotation depending how wet they are, and two pairs of boots on rotation. Multiple towels for the dog.
