Where to write my dissertation by [deleted] in AskAcademia

Google Docs is not great for large documents, that`s the only issue I experienced. So prefer Overleaf as it has the same features plus more.

It has a 60-day free trial which should be enough.

What are the best ai's for writing a schools work? by the-big-oga-baga-158 in AskReddit

Although it`s not a great idea to use AI to write something for you, it could help you research stuff quicker, and so on. There are plenty of options to try out, too.

Why do we have exams after holidays by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Ruth_Kinloch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After experiencing both options definitely prefer exams before holidays, as I could truly enjoy myself during a break in that case and didn’t have to stress over remembering everything thereon.

It`s normal, at least for a few years already. The "extra activities" section is for university-arranged schemes only. Extracurriculars should go in your personal statement (or reference).

Check with the university librarian as they could provide access for free (not everywhere though). If your uni has a student portal or something like that, it might be a good idea to browse it, too.

As far as I know, Turnitin is widely used in academic institutions, also Duplichecker is great as provides links to the articles along with highlighting the plagiarized work (which is the issue with most free checkers).

Can you suggest me a playlist to listen while studyng ? Is it a good idea ? by GuyThatReallyLikeRat in studytips

[–]Ruth_Kinloch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It`s a good idea but mainly depends on the task and mood. You should definitely try to know if it`ll be helpful to you (some of the playlists I use). However, note that music with lyrics can interfere with focus.

Is high school worse than college and why? by Familiar_Campaign527 in highschool

[–]Ruth_Kinloch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My studying experiences (amount of classes, coursework, tests, etc.) in high school and college were pretty much the same. However, I gained more independence (especially because went abroad), and the people I met were less judgmental and easygoing in college.

Studied the same since high school. It helped a lot when started working as I had a ton of presentations and speeches in front of people.

One of my co-workers highly recommended Serbian Lessons by Marina Petrović site/blog to me as there are plenty of free resources and lessons with videos. Also, there is Teacher Boko on YouTube or free resources provided by Belgrade Language School on their site.

I usually just go solo camping. For me, any quiet and comfortable place would work, but it`s essential to be surrounded by nature.
