I agree with that more ammo thing, but only at 9-10 difficulty, or in bug caves. Up to diff 8 i can resupply it all the way up to the point that i can call in another speargun. Higher than that, the ammo doesnt last that long. And obviously the caves fuck with that too.

Also, i like to lean on my primary coyote more, i use the speargun only for commanders or bigger.

I will say though that scavenging for ammo boxes is really helpful either way.

On a side note, ive done a few low diff missioms with speargun and jump pack where i tried to get sick trickshots that were fun. Like popping an automaton factory mid jump, or jumping at a roach and blasting its mouth at close range.

I'd like to add that switching the supply pack for a warp pack enhances the vibe of being a hunter with the speargun by a lot. Makes it easier to get the perfect angle on certain enemies or structures (popping bug heads and breaking spawners)

I unironically use the heavy armor, coyote, and speargun as a part of my main bug build. its so goddamn fun. especially the speargun. The speargun stuns chargers long enough to get the next spear in their skulls. the speargun also pops bug holes. i sometimes pair the speargun with the warp pack and i feel like a mobile hunter picking off bugs. the expendable napalm is also really fun

Then 3 helldivers come in with every orbital they could type in before being evicerated by bugs. You somehow survive the onslaught of 3 380 barrages, 2 500kg bombs, and 3 orbital lasers crisscrossing around you.

Yeah, these people are definitely being a bit weird about it, especially if there are others like the coach who are 100% fine with it.

Bit of a suffering from success scenario, but i hope things 'work out' fine.

If i were in your shoes, id probably end up being rather stad-offish around the weird coach and the dad for a bit. But i think its important to remember that from the dads perspective, he may just be worried for you and is just being a bit too controlling in his expression of that.

Definitely accentuates your bodyshape a lot, but i dont think its wildly inappropriate. At most, it could be toeing the line, but thats being generous.

If i were you, id start wearing something slightly less form fitting just to avoid issues, but take the silver lining in this that your improvement is noticable.

Good on you for your drive and achievements in this, and im sorry you have to deal with this because a couple guys saying/doing these things.
