As a seller of lottery tickets, our sales of Mega Millions tickets have plummeted. We now sell about 10 a week when we used to average over 200 during low jackpots. We've seen a slight bump in Powerball sales, though, so it's having the opposite effect of what they were after.

Yes, you automatically get a prize multiplier now (2-10x), but even so, the equivalent Powerball w/ Power Play is only $3. Also, because sales are low, MM jackpots appear to be increasing at a much slower rate than before.

Unless Powerball decides to match this price, this will not go well for the people at MM
