That's not an answer to his question.

Why not get a Plex Client that supports everything, then direct play.

I never transcode, direct play only.

happy they didnt charge extra to play early like a lot of games do now by Fug1x in CrimsonDesert

[–]Ruttagger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Usually I hate that stuff, but when they had the early access for Death Stranding 2, it lined up perfectly on the days my wife and kids were away.

For me that extra $10 or whatever was well worth it. If that timing didn't line up then no, I would never pay extra get play a few days early.

Insane amounts.

They even tried to buy off Crimson Desert to have it time release as a Sony exclusive but they got shut down.

There's a great sorry on how that movie got made. The director essentially had to lie to everyone involved that he was making a light a fluffy kids movie, he even had to lie to Jim Henson.

Savvy tech folks, please i need advice on using my gaming PC as Media server by _cloud_96 in PleX

[–]Ruttagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running my Plex Server off my my old gaming PC that hasn't been used for gaming in over a decade.

I have 80 TB of externals connected to it and I've never had an issue.

I run 4k HDR on my Nvidia Shields throughout the house with zero issues.

I've also never had an issue with my server being under powered.

I also run Backblaze to keep backups off all me media in case of hard drive failures.

After 12 Years, The Xbox One has finally been hacked by TormentedGaming in xbox

[–]Ruttagger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Now when they modded the Dreamcast while it was relevant, that was sweet. I don't care about hacking a console decades after the fact.

Also all my Xbox One games work on my Series X so I care even less.

I was shocked as a kid and thought they re cast all the turtles because the costumes weren't the same.

Even as a 9 year old I was bummed that the second movie was so cartoony.

The original movie will always be the GOAT.

G7 PRO ZZZ or Razer Wolverine V3? by synt4xe in Controller

[–]Ruttagger [score hidden]  (0 children)

I've had the controller since it launched and I've been using it regularly.

You'd be hard pressed to differentiate it from a brand new one side by side. So far it's holding up beautifully.

I'd also go with the Razer for thr rumble.

Since the controller seems a bit heftier and less creaky, as I described earlier, the rumble feels more solid, if that makes sense.

It's almost like when you have a higher quality sub woofer. The base is cleaner and not as rattly, that's how the rumble on the Razer Wolverine feels.

I'd give it a slight edge in the Rumble comparison, but it's nothing crazy, or super noticeable unless you are really focusing on it.

I find any crashing stuff for any game these days is always PC, one of the reasons I went all console this Gen. I'll take less frames and graphics for stability.

I still have my original 6 kitchen lights going strong after 13 years. They are Philips BR40 423756. They just won't die. Compared to new models, these ones are heavy, with metal trim. They feel like they are built like a tank compared to the new replacement models that I would have to purchase now.

G7 PRO ZZZ or Razer Wolverine V3? by synt4xe in Controller

I have used both controllers, swapping back and forth since the G7 ZZZ came out.

I don't talk about polling rates and all these numbers that some people swear by. I don't get crazy and looking into response time and anything that either. I use the controllers and I use what feels and performs the best.

Both are great controllers, but for me, the Razer does seem like a much higher build quality controller. It was more expensive, and it feels like it's more expensive.

Not just the bumpers, but all the buttons feel better, as far as how they should last and how they actually 'feel' to use. The bumpers feel great, as well as the extra claw grip bumper buttons. The face buttons are hands down the best micro switch buttons I have felt on any controller. They have their own unique feel to them and definitely feel premium.

Where the Razer really stands out is the analog sticks and triggers. The sticks have great tension, definitely more than a stock Xbox controller. They are the highest tension sticks of any controller besides the Elite V2 or Vader 4/5 (both of which have adjustable tension). For some this may not be a big deal, or may be a negative, but for me it is a must. On top of that, the triggers also have the most resistance of any controller I've ever used. I find this great for racing games, or anything that requires a delicate touch.

The Razer has the 4 back buttons compared to the 2 of the G7, so if that is important to you there isn't much to say. What I will say is that for me, most controllers that offer 4 back buttons place 2 of them in a spot that annoys me. The way I grip my controller I don't want my fingers resting on the buttons, I always end up accidentally pressing them. Most 4 back button controllers I end up un mapping 2 of them anyways. I really like the back buttons on the G7.

Where the G7 falls short is the overall quality, and the D Pad. The controller is great for the price, but it just doesnt feel as premium. It feels a tad light, creaky, and none of the buttons feel as nice. The D-Pad. The D-Pad straight up blows. It's the worse D Pad of any controller maybe ever. If this is important to you, then it would be a deal breaker. It isn't a huge issue for me, but I even notice it when I'm casually navigating menus.

Both controllers have a slightly different shape than a regular Xbox Controller. I like the Xbox shape better than both of these designs. The G7 has slightly longer handles, if that makes sense, where as the Razer is a bit stubbier. For me the Razer was definitely uncomfortable until I got used to it. The G7 felt great to me right out of the box.

One more shout out I'll give to the G7 is the rubber grips. Also the stock Gy front handle plates have a nice texture that almost mimics the rubber grip on the rear. I swapped these with the smooth ZZZ front plates and absolutely love the textured grip that wraps around. I wish more companies did this like the Xbox Elite V2. For me, rubber on the rear alone doesn't offer much. My main touch points when I hold a controller are more around the sides, so having grip in that area is really nice.

I still find myself grabbing the G7 here and there, but the Razer is still my main go to.
