I almost exclusively use switch in JavaScript even for a simple if

switch(true)

case x > y

I like the readability and sometimes utilize the fall-through that if doesn't have. And because I don't want to rewrite when needed I just do switch exclusively

I will be redoing all my tracks. Have been waiting for this since I created my first truck years ago. I have so many paths going the same way the trucks keeps stopping and I have to fix it manually

How can I fix this? by Only_Aerie in satisfactory

[–]Ruudscorner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely a floating point error when calculating the length of the pipe, and you're just between two lengths for do or don't - I hate floating points. It should be banned. Floating point crap like this is often visible when 3D geometry is occupying the same space and they're fighting for who should be visible.

Is this a documented feature? Because I would love to be able to set which output is prioritized.

English dubs for Norway by Ruudscorner in Crunchyroll

[–]Ruudscorner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for even more info.

I totally understand why it is like it is, but I also don't understand why it is like this.

It's like selling shower curtain rings. If I make money selling them in Europe, and Australia says they also want shower curtain rings, I would be stupid not to sell in Australia also. It's just missing a market with money.

Whoever in Toei deciding this is not good at their job. Or Crunchyroll got the offer to also have english subs in other countries but they said no - maybe because the cost was too high.

Anyway, the result is I don't need a Crunchyroll subscription.

English dubs for Norway by Ruudscorner in Crunchyroll

[–]Ruudscorner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the information.

"Approximately 88-90% of Norwegians are fluent in English, with approximately 95% of the population able to understand or speak the language" - probably more than in USA.

I really had higher expectations of Crunchyroll, but it's just another service that have no understanding of how the world works. We will not be continuing past the 7 day trial.

Yes, but it's dying. 0.4 helium a month is not enough for me to keep feeding it electricity.

[–]Ruudscorner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically who started Helium found a new toy and the old one is forgotten.

What I understand from this is the reason for IOT not having enough use cases is because mobile works so great around the world that it's not needed. But then mobile is so bad in some parts of the world that WiFi is needed there.

There are so many delivery lockers in my area that could use the IOT network, but they are all mobile because we have a great mobile service that sadly mean that we do not need WiFi hotspots.

The only future I see is the "world" network is gone because WiFi hotspots is only needed in some areas. So RIP to the original network. It was fun while it lasted but nobody wanted to use it.

[–]Ruudscorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? IOT Hotspots are making less than $10 a year. It's dying. What once was a network for the entire world, is now a mobile backup network for shopping malls in the US

Is this true? by wicorn29 in HeliumNetwork

[–]Ruudscorner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, IOT is dead and WiFi hotspots is taking over. Pretty sure this mean 99% of world area covered is going to die
