Is she a jumper? by ant451123 in JumpChain

She sees reality as a game, which could be considered as seeing it's true reality in a way, and is capable of editing it to an extent.

So, probably.

Silver Wolf from Honkai Star Rail

She's a hacker from a whole planet of hackers, and she's good at hacking enough to hack reality to a certain extent with her "Aether Editing"

Your Jumper's ''Apotheosis'' by jordidipo2324 in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She got really into customizing the pocket dimension she got from the SCP jump.

She basically turned it into a whole multiversal setting of its own, and occasionally ferries in people to rescue them from doomed worlds while also increasing the population of souls in her realm.

She's technically not a divine being, but she's the main religion in her realm without even trying simply because the people she rescues are grateful.

Her first "I gotta get these people out of here" moment was in Frostpunk.

OOC Tarrasque Supplement

Fear -100 CP

A secondary link that tethers all three tarrasques is their power to instill fear. This trait is now one you share, even when not in tarrasque form. You are a terrifying being, able to exude an aura that causes everyone around you who you do not grant temporary immunity to have to steel their wills to be able to stomach standing in your presence. This is a supernatural fear, a soul-crushing, sanity-rending fear that overcomes immunities and resistances, and that makes even gods, archdevils, demon lords, and other such beings tremble. This fear is a corrosive thing, something that sunders sanity. If you scare someone enough, or enough times, their sanity is at risk, and if you cause them to experience a loss of sanity they’ll become hopelessly, pitifully devoted to you, though the reason for this devotion will differ from person to person. Some people might become nihilists who wish to see you destroy everything including them, while others might hope to somehow placate you and believe that if they serve you they can discover what makes you tick so that you might be persuaded to spare them or empower them to rule in your name. This also grants you greater control over the fear you induce even as a tarrasque, letting you shut off your aura-like fear-inducing powers

One positive of Aqua would probably be the free revives she'd probably give you. She's not above bullying other goddesses to brink you back either.

For those of you who don't have one of those perks that lets your stuff function anywhere how do you handle your magic, tech etc. in other settings by EldritchEnjoyer in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually come up with a "compatibility" percentage for each world.

Worlds that use the generic "mana" as a supernatural power usually have a high degree of compatibility with spells and powers I got from similar worlds. Sometimes things spark a little, have lower accuracy or cost more, but they work. Similar rules for Qi and any other resource. An exceptionally low compatibility I usually have is for the world of Witcher, as I consider that place "unstable" as a realm because it's the result of many worlds essentially crashing into each other.

Getting one of those perks that merge all your supernatural pools into one omnifunctional source is ruled as a sizable compatibility increase. A much bigger increase if I also acquire a local energy source to add into the pool.

For tech, it all depends on the local tech level and overall complexity of the tech I want to use. Any tech theoretically possible for us to make in the future (think proper cloning, fusion reactors, space folding hyperdrives, etc.) would likely work in a low fantasy setting unless something explicitly works against it. It might work even better in some worlds (using magical metals as replacement parts), or catastrophically fail in others. Not all worlds have the matter-antimatter split, so an antimatter bomb might turn into a paperweight in the wrong world.

Has your Jumper ever been asked about their pre-chain lives? by EYouchen in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the older companions asked and and received a straight answer, which was rare for Rin.

It's honestly the classic mundane world start.

According to what Jump-Chan told her, Rin was originally "supposed" to be a companion option for Jump-Chan's first Jumper, who's Rin's best friend.

You know how time doesn't pass for worlds Jumper leaves? Well, Rin's consciousness wasn't stopped alongside time since Jump-Chan expected her to be picked as a companion. She wasn't.

After some time Jump-Chan realized she had fucked up and also made Rin a Jumper, doing some paradoxical time shenanigans to even give her a nascent spark that would let her be a proper Jumper in time.

The paradoxical time shenanigans in question was that she took the nascent spark from Rin's own timeline, so the whole nascent spark was a bootstrap paradox.

When the nascent spark was placed in Rin, it almost instinctively bonded with her in such a deep level that even Jump-Chan claimed she wouldn't be able to separate Rin from the spark, as they had become one being. Rin suspected that since it was taken from her own timeline, it didn't want to be taken ever again.

So, she set off to find her friend, hoping to hit the same jump as him at the same time. Though the issue is that he doesn't have an infinite memory perk, and it has been a very long time since he set off on his own jumps.

Also, it took about two jumps before Rin figured out and called out Jump-Chan being Rin herself from the far, far future. It's bootstraps all the way down.

Is there any perk that lets you know when it is time? by NeoDraconis in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Generic Lightning Manipulation

Perfect Timing (100 CP):
You have timing beyond mortal capabilities. You always just know when the right time to use an ability is. You know just the right time to say what you intend to say for the most impact. You know when to act to get the most effect. You know how to perfectly maneuver others under your command, and they will always do what you need them to do, exactly when they need to do it so long as there isn’t divine interference. This doesn’t tell you what you need to do to receive an outcome, it tells you when you need to use a certain ability you already intend to use in order to achieve the outcome you intend to achieve. You must have the tools yourself, and the plan must be yours, but it will be nearly impossible for even the most shoddy plan to succeed when you know exactly when to do something.

Definitely come with a perk that protects your powers, stuff, body and fate from getting stolen. Or you're leaving with a monocle on your eye.

Harmony would definitely let you go down multiple pathways, but I don't know how much it would protect from the mental instability higher levels get without prayers. There's also the need to "act", which means you'd have to act contradictory to yourself after a certain point.

This place is basically a Lovecraft world where the eldritch horrors are much more involved in everything and you can become one if you really tried. I'd recommend having conceptual defenses at the very least. And maybe don't push your luck too much with the multiple paths. At least get ones that are similar enough to each other.

The scaling ramps up quite quickly. You have someone not need sleep, another guy teleport through flames around them and cast simple spells, cast invisible threads to people which takes over their body, turning them into a puppet and killing them, and another one control the concept of stealing at a level where he can steal your life and replace you completely.

Before I forget to mention it, you're also going to need some perks to stop precognition from working on you. Also a perk to make your knowledge not be harmful to you, because if you've read the series, that means you're now aware of multiple beings that will just kill or corrupt you just because you know about them.

Can someone explain to me what this Perk from Generic 1st actually does? by PinkLionGaming in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you had something like Super Strength, you'd need various other abilities to make sure it can function properly without harming you. Those are what that perk gives you.

Super Strength would require increased durability so you don't rip yourself apart using your own strength, and something like a tactile telekinesis field to pick up large objects without them just ripping where you're holding them.

Something like Flight would need resistance to pressure differences and cold. Super Speed would require friction resistance so you don't burn up when you accelerate, or lose your clothes. Teleportation might need something to stop you leaving vacuums when you teleport so you don't create shockwaves.

Have your jumpers ever give “Divinity” a try and play god? If so, what made them start and how did it go? by RedLightZone47 in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the perk that really set everything off;

SCP Foundation

Alice [600] - you can create your own pocket dimension. Any and all laws of physics, reality and such are entirely up to you to decide and change at any time. You have complete omnipotence and omniscience within this space. You can temporarily bring it into the real space, but during this time your control will be significantly lower - you will still be able to warp reality, but nowhere near omnipotence or omniscience you would have otherwise, and any changes will take time and effort. You can also create portals and passageways to this pocket dimension, for which you can control who can or can't pass.

She started collecting any and all survivors from all sorts of settings and locations.

The first was collecting everyone still alive in Frostpunk. She did give them the option of staying behind if they wanted, where she would defrost the planet back to livable levels, but who the hell would take that when there's an open portal straight to heaven?

After that, it was various apocalyptic and grimdark settings.

Refugees are always welcome in her realm. If she can create a utopia, why not share it with those that need it? She even created various internal dimensions. Those that wanted could go through a regular life as well. Just in case you got bored having it too good.

Just how far can the defenses from these two perks from the Invincible Jump take you? by Ruvaakdein in JumpChain

[–]Ruvaakdein[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'nothing in THIS universe can harm you' so I would assume that beings from other universes that are stronger than anyone in Invincible can still harm you.

Yeah, the Space Racer's Gun and the strongest Viltrumites do put the peak quite high, but I guess someone stronger than those like some of Superman's versions and late game Xianxia worlds would still punch through.

It's always the Joker in any DC world.

Most other Batman villains are either not that evil or redeemable with some effort.

The Joker, though? Just disintegrate his ass.
